章 166: Their Enmity

Arif placed Lily on the bed. He was still angry at her for taking that blow. Additionally, he was angry at himself for hurting her.

He stood up wanting to go but the girl pulled him back. Despite the little energy she used, he sat back down not forgetting to glare at her.

Lily smiled at his glare. 'He looked cute like this, ' she thought. If the man had known her thoughts, he would feel appalled.

For, unlike the little girl, others would be scared by that gaze. " Hey, stop being angry. Listen, he is your brother. Though mom never had a cordial relationship with her siblings, she made us learn the importance of family."

Her fingers unconsciously caressed his hand as she spoke. " Whatever problems you have with him, try to talk it out. You never know, it might not be as bad as you think."

Arif wanted to disagree but kept quiet.
