章 26: ‘The trick’

I put the phone back into my pocket and turned to face Sneha. She was standing there rigidly, staring at me.

“What is the problem with you? Why can’t you leave me alone?” I asked in a displeasing way.

“Because I know you want me, you just don’t want to admit because you think I am a nutty person,” she replied.

“I don’t want you. In fact, I don’t even like you. Yes, you heard me right; this is the answer to your yesterday’s question. I don’t like you at all,” I said in the same voice.

“You are just mistaken, Sid. I know you like me. You are behaving like this because you know this attracts me more toward you,” she said while chuckling. She was not just crazy but delusional too. What the heck I had done to grab her attention.

“Believe me, Sneha, I really don’t like you. You are not the person I want to talk to or meet with,” I replied while not caring that my words were a bit callous. But I intentionally wanted to hurt her so that she could go away.
