章 43: Chapter 41: War! (1)
Wrath and Shin finally set forth towards the stronghold.
In an instant, they were easily spotted.
Shin and Wrath stopped.
The bells were rang and the whole stronghold was thrown into a hurried state.
In the blink of an eye, orcs suddenly started to march from within the stronghold towards Shin. These orcs weren't like the usual ones that he usually fought. They were all clad in black armor and their skins were close to black in color. Their height was at least 8 meters tall. Each of them were. They gave off a very frightening aura but what caught Shin's attention the most was that they were all B rank orcs! Their eyes giving off that red glow!
An army of tens of thousands of B rank orcs!
How frightening was this?!
If anybody were to see this, they would have already shat their pants!
Shin felt a bit nervous but he smiled. Hidden within his nervousness was excitement.
Three years ago, Shin was always addicted to playing MMORPG games. Usually he would challenge monsters that had levels way above his. Treating it as having more skills than the average players and what he loved the most about playing MMORPGs was grinding!
Seeing tens of thousands of orcs in front of him, Shin just basically saw them as dead meat!
"Live!" Shin said as he got down from Wrath.
More than 50 Undead Creatures emerged from the ground along with Skeletons that Shin initially summoned.
"Hmmm... We'll get easily crushed if I don't summon more...." Shin murmured to himself.
"Live" Shin said. Just like before, Skeletons arose from the ground. But they weren't like the usual ones! Instead, their frames were that of an Orc's! Each and every one of them were C rank Orcs and Shin summoned 40 more of them! Basically Shin has an army that consists of almost a hundred troops. More than half were D ranks and the rest were C ranks.
Shin felt surprised and delighted.
He saw that the Orcs were still very far from them so he might as well bid his time in preparing.
He opened the shop and bought a pair of tomahawks that costed him more than 600kg of Crystal Stone. But of course, they had the effect of +100 in the strength stat. Easily taking away more than half of what he earned.
Shin also bought a pair of boots that had an active skill which costed him about 200kg of Crystal Stones.

Sprint:
- increases user's speed by about 50%. Lasts for 1 minute. Has a cooldown of 5 hours.
Shin's eyes shined. This skill was exactly like the skill that were given to the beginner players of his favorite game called League of Heroes. Although this was 10x more powerful.
Now Shin has only about more than a hundred kilograms of Crystal Stone. Shin decisively used them to buy health and potions that he would need later. Although he could only afford one each...
Finally he was ready.
The moment of truth has come.
In this battle, they were clearly outnumbered. But Shin didn't shrink away because he knew that he could very well kill all of these orcs with a flick of his finger. But he didn't. As long as the Dungeon Boss remains hidden, he figured that he should refrain from using his innate ability otherwise he would have to rely on that skill. And that skill was a pain in the ass. That's why he didn't hesitate on spending almost all of his money in buying equipment that could raise his stats.
The enemies were only a hundred meters away by this point.
"Kill all of them my soldiers..." Shin ordered.
In an instant, his troops that numbered almost a hundred charged towards the ten thousand orcs.
It was a puny sight but Shin could feel that his MP was getting drained easily.
However!
With each kill that the his troops did, Shin acquired exp and it instantly made his level rise!

With a single orc killed he instantly gained three levels! But it wasn't limited to this, he even gained 10x stat points!
Shin sighed in amazement
But all of these were just secondary. What really amazed him was that his undead troops were constantly leveling up!
With 10 undead troops, they could kill 1 orc soldier and with 1 orc soldier, they would level up, making them stronger and faster.
'Not only do I level up, but my troops does as well...' Shin thought to himself inwardly.
Shin laughed in joy.
He quickly invested his free stats into the intelligent stat raising his MP even more!
Shin then joined in on the fray. One by one, he killed the soldiers of the enemy. Not a single one could escape from his tomahawk as they were all hacked into two. Heads flew and blood dyed the ground red. It was a horrific sight.
Slowly but surely, Shin and his Undead army's levels grew higher and higher. Some of his troops even reached the point where they could solo an Orc Soldier. From D rank to half a step into B rank! Their rate of improvement was tremendous!
Shin also grew much more powerful. A few moments ago when he had killed his 50th orc, a notification popped up in front him.
[Ding Ding! Undead skill has leveled up!]
[Host can now revive 500 undead creatures]
Shin smiled.
"Live!"
In an instant, the hundreds of B rank corpses across the battlefield rose as they roared. The same as with the rest of the other Undead creatures, their eyes and bodies were glowing purple.
'B ranks... Does this mean I can use my skill on that Orc Lord?' Shin thought to himself.
He then called Wrath to his side. The both of them retreated towards a safe space.
Shin took out the Orc Lord's corpse.
In an instant, a 10 meter corpse appeared in front of them.
"Live" Shin said as he extended his arm towards the Orc Lord.
Suddenly, the Orc Lord started to stand. Earlier it didn't receive any particular physical wound so there wasn't any regeneration of flesh involved. The Orc Lord stood up and roared. Its eyes and body glowing purple.
It looked at Shin with a gaze filled with respect and reverence.
The Orc Lord knelt down on one leg and bowed his head.
Although it could not talk, using the connection between Shin and The Orc Lord, he knew what the Orc Lord was probably saying.
"My King!"
[Ding Ding! The Orc Lord is asking you to name it]
The system notified him.
"Since you are an orc, then you shall be named Quilge" Shin said.
[Quilge Lvl 1 Rank: Undead Commander]
"Rise" Shin ordered as he smiled.
"Quilge, kill all of them" Shin said.
Quilge let out a roar as it nodded. Then it charged towards the battlefield. Instantly killing about 15 Orc soldiers.
Shin smiled.

Shin looked at his stat points and then his eyes went wide. He was shocked by the sheer amount of stat points that he gained. His curiosity was piqued. But he knew that this was not the time to dwell on this matter.

Shin looked at his stat points and then said to himself, "With this, crushing those orc soldiers would be as easy as pie".
Shin smirked to himself as he laughed out loud. Finally after a bit of thought, he put 500 stat points on strength, stamina, vitality and agility. He put 300 on perception and then the rest on Intelligence.

Shin felt a surge of power cycle through all of his body. His body felt far more powerful than ever before. He felt reborn at this moment.
"I feel good"
Shin smiled. He was now extremely powerful with his stats reaching halfway into being an A rank SMB without using his innate ability. His improvement rate was remarkable!
People should know that being an SMB, if they were awakened into being a D rank, then unless they constantly trained, their stats would forever remain as it was. And even if they trained for a few decades, their stats would never achieve an astonishing increase like Shin has!
Shin smiled and then charged towards the battlefield. One by one he killed the orcs. Time passed and the number of enemy orcs dwindled into two to three thousand. While Shin's Undead Army reached an astonishing 5000! Their average levels were 30. While the ones that were summoned much earlier was an astonishing level 40! Their prowess could enable them to crush B rank monsters as easy as pie.
From far away, an orc that was about 7ft in height was looking at the battlefield with an unsightly expression.
"How!?" The orc was speaking in their own language. This orc had black glowing eyes radiating an aura of death. It clearly was an A rank monster. The orc's muscles were protruding and bulging. There was a scar that stretched across its whole face. Making it incredibly horrifying and sinister.
"This human has deeply enraged me! How dare you slaughter my army and convert them into yours!" The orc roared up into the skies in anger. Then it jumped and flew across the battlefield and landed in front of Shin.
