章 68: I Want to Court You

Freya shouted at Gideon's car from behind as he drove off. She could sense the autumn wind rushing past her and it was freezing cold.

She shrank her body and placed her hands in her pockets. Her eyes inexplicably turned red.

The woman looked around. She reckoned there was a subway station two kilometers from here.

She got onto the pedestrian walk and made her way to the subway.

After walking approximately for one kilometer, a car suddenly slowed down as it drove beside her.

The car window wound down and a man said in disbelief, "Freya."

Freya turned to look at the man on hearing the voice. Luke was smiling at her from the car. The smile on his face warmed her heart.

Luke asked, "What are you doing here?"

Freya pondered briefly before she looked at Luke and smiled forcibly. "Can you give me a lift?"

Luke smiled without restraint. "It is my honor."
