When Gideon spoke to her harshly, Freya could not help feeling embarrassed.

Charles scolded Gideon yet again. "Since you refuse to learn, you will kneel in the ancestral hall until tomorrow morning!"

Freya wanted to help, but Evelyn glanced at her telling her to stop.

She pursed her lips. It seemed as though no one could make Charles change his mind!

Charles left the living room. Freya nodded to her in-laws courteously before following behind Gideon.

She hobbled up behind him and asked quizzically, "Mr. Carter, are you really going to kneel in the ancestral hall?"

Gideon looked at her sternly.

Freya pursed her lips guiltily. "I did not mean to get you punished. I checked online and found a good culinary school, so I wanted to check it out, but I got robbed halfway."

Gideon had no intention of talking to her.
