Alessandro's POV

This welcome is almost like receiving one from my mother, warm, beautiful and real. Her hugs are just as warm as they used to be. 

I missed her while I was away. 

I wish they were back at the estate. She used to make the best desserts. Her cakes could make a grown man cry. After that incident, I would want to stay away from that life as well but I was born to it and honestly, I wouldn't choose any other life. 

I pull away from the hug. " I'll see you tomorrow Mrs Riley but I need to get home. I have work to do not too long from now. "

She nods. " Be careful," she says, placing her hand on my cheek, then pulls it away before stepping back. I walk back to the car and wave at her one last time before pulling out of their driveway.
