The scandal truly exploded all over the news and this made a lot of people who were victimized by Wan Mei Mei's scheme cry in tears as if something deep inside of them were taken out. The anger they were keeping all along inside their hearts, the resentment to the person who made them fall, it all boiled down into one realization… it was all caused by one woman, Wan Mei Mei.
Wan Mei Mei's father immediately called her and informed her to hide for a while. The scandal and the videos were such evidence and enough to prosecute her. But his call was too late before Wan Mei Mei could go out of her apartment; a couple of police officers has already caught her.
The case that was filed towards Wan Mei Mei is far too many to that it would seem that she would not be able to leave the prison for some time.
Even with the power of her family, they were not able to do anything. At this moment in time, they already knew that she offended someone that she should not.
If these people knew that Wan Mei Mei is being sent to prison because Yu Bai just wanted to be with his wife and keep Ma Liling away, they would surely vomit blood.
"Everything is taken care of, thank you…" Yi Beiwei got off the phone and showed a faint smile on her face.
She lifted her gaze and take out her phone. She is deliberating whether to call back Ma Mian. Though she wanted her friend to rest for a while as Ma Liling, she could not stop the people who are looking for her.
From reporters to movie producers and advertisers, her office has been flooded with calls from different people.
She did not know who the one behind cleaning her name and her reputation, but right now she is truly grateful to whoever they are.
After thinking for a while, she heaves a deep sigh and dialed Ma Mian's number.
"Hi, Mian… Are you still on the set with Yu Qi?"
"Can you come and visit me once you are back at the company… Bye…"
After dropping the call she then picks up her office phone and calls for her secretary for an emergency meeting. She needs to prepare a lot of things as she knew that Ma Liling is back in the spotlight once again.

Ma Mian was a bit confused why Yi Beiwei called her and her tone seems a bit happy. Anyway, she did not want to bother as Tang Arjin is now walking her way along with Yu Qi. The two are talking like they are close friends.
She could not help but show a faint smile. She knew that Tang Arjin is truly a great actress and also good with people. She just did not know what changed her where she became resentful towards others and vindictive.
But seeing the changes in her attitude, Ma Mian knew that Tang Arjin has returned to her previous self.
"Hi, Mian…" Tang Arjin greeted casually.
The people on the set are already immune to this scene and they knew that these three women have a close relationship now because of the shooting and their constant interaction.
After shooting, Ma Mian immediately went back to the company along with Yu Qi who also reported to Yi Beiwei.
"Good job with the shoot, I heard positive things about you from the director. Keep it up, Yu Qi!" Yi Beiwei said while hugging Yu Qi.
After Yu Qi walks out of the office, Yi Beiwei turns her attention to Ma Mian.
"What do you want? The good news… or the bad news?" Yi Beiwei asked with a playful smile.
"Hmm… I'm in a mood for the bad news, so I'll go with the bad news…"
"Alright, well for the bad news, your vacation is over. It's time for Ma Liling to work once again…"
After hearing that, one of Ma Mian's brows lifted while showing an expression as if she is saying 'Really?' with a sarcastic smirk.
Seeing her friend's expression Yi Beiwei could not help but laugh.
"Of course the good news is that your name is cleared and that the scandal was fabricated by none other than the model Wan Mei Mei… as what we have suspected. But this time, there was a clear proof of her crime… no I would say… crimes."
"That's nice then… But… I am already used to being Ma Mian…" Ma Mian pouted.
"Wait… How about Yu Qi? Who would be…"
"Aiyah… Don't worry about that, focus on your career. If you do not go out there, my office will be swamped with phone calls… Just do me a favor, okay? Go… Go… I will arrange your schedule for next week…"
Ma Mian walks out of Yi Beiwei's office and met with George and the two walk out and went to the café. George congratulates her for clearing her name and coming back to work. The reaction of Ma Mian also made George laugh.
"Girl, you are the only artist I know that would show that face when offered a lot of simple but lucrative jobs…"
After the two separated, she immediately went home. Since she arrives early Yu Bai is not yet at home, so Ma Mian decided to cook dinner then wash after.
She then sits on the sofa and began to watch some drama series.
It did not take long before she heard some footsteps coming to the door. Then after entering the code to the house Yu Bai enters and was a bit surprised to see his wife sitting on the sofa and the dining table is already filled with food.
"You're early… Hmm… Smell good…" Yu Bai said as he takes a whiff of the aroma of the food on the table.
"Wash up first, we'll have dinner after… I'm hungry…" she said while pouting.
Yu Bai gave her a kiss on her head but suddenly stopped.
"Hmm… I just can't get enough of your scent…" Yu Bai said as he calmly relishes Ma Mian's fragrant scent.
Ma Mian could not help but show a faint smile on her face as she hugs him gently.
