Yu Bai decided to leave after staying for a while, he still has a lot of documents to read and review and he could only set 2 hours of his time for this. Since he has already seen the proceedings and found that everything is going well, he decided to leave everything to his capable people.
While he was walking out, he noticed something is happening and noticed a young woman showing teary eyes. When he saw her expression and her, gaze his heart almost skipped a beat. However, he immediately recovers upon seeing her beauty which seems to have ticked something deep inside of him.
He continues walking to the side and left the stage. As he walks towards the side he suddenly received a call and takes out his mobile.
Then suddenly from the corner of his eyes, he saw a woman almost hitting him. When she suddenly took a step backward, her feet slipped and now she was about to fall to the ground.
With quick reaction, Yu Bai's hand suddenly darted forward catching the soft and supple hip of the woman.
The fragrant smell which seems a bit familiar to him wafted in his nose.
"She smells like Ma Mian…" he thought as he held the woman in his arms.
The people on the stage, who saw this scene and knew who Yu Bai is, gasped in disbelief. They could not believe that their chairman would be catching a celebrity in his arms in an awkward position.
The beautiful woman is Ma Liling and right now, both of her hands are grabbing Yu Bai's neck while Yu Bai is grabbing her hips and his other hand is at the back of her neck.
The position of the two somewhat resembles people dancing the tango.
Ma Liling's eyes are wide open as she looks at the handsome man in front of her wearing silver-rimmed spectacles. She felt somewhat weird as she thought that the man looks familiar. So she subconsciously drew her beautiful face closer towards him.
The onlookers gasped as they saw the two faces slowly getting closer.
"Miss… Please let go of my neck…" Yu Bai suddenly said in a deep and cold voice.
When Ma Liling heard his words, she is still in deep thought of who this guy is. So she subconsciously knitted her brow and muttered.
"Huh?"
Yu Bai heard her lovely voice and a visible vein pops on his forehead. In annoyance, he suddenly lets go of Ma Liling and lets her fall to the ground.
He then glared at her coldly and walks out in the middle of the onlookers.
His action and glare sent shivers running down the spines of those people who saw him, and the brunt of this coldness is directed at Ma Liling who felt her heart shudder.
"What an arrogant guy…" Ma Liling muttered as she picks herself up while glaring at the man who has already walked a couple of distances away.
She did not bother with anything and just walks to Manager Lan's side who is also looking at her with an incredulous look on her face.
"Who was that?" Manager Lan asked with curiosity in her eyes.
"Yeah, Miss Liling? Who was that handsome guy? He is a bit cold, but he is very handsome…" Min Feiyang said with a smile.
"Humph… I don't know who that guy…" suddenly Ma Liling seems to have remembered something.
She recalled the arrogant guy who saved her from those mobs and also sent her back to the company that night. Although she was grateful to that person, seeing him again and his arrogant attitude all of her good feelings towards him were washed away.
"Humph… I like my husband more than that guy. He is sweet, kind, and caring. If that guy married some woman, then that woman would be the most unlucky woman in the whole world." Ma Liling thought as she once again threw her glare at the direction where Yu Bai left.
Suddenly, her expression changes as she craned her neck to look around. She was hoping to see her husband in this place. She looks at the audition and then thought that even if she goes to this audition, her current scandal would really drag her down.
As she was in the middle of thinking, Manager Lan suddenly frowned. Then she stood up and wanted to walk towards the stage.
"Manager Lan, what's wrong?" Ma Liling suddenly grabs Manager Lan's hand and stopped her.
"They… they actually did not call your name. What is the meaning of this?" she said while glaring at the panel of judges.
Ma Liling has already thought about this and expected such a thing would happen, so she was not that disgruntled. While looking at the stage, Ma Liling saw one of the judges shifting his eyes towards her direction. When their eyes met, the judge just shook his head and sneered at her.
"I cannot accept this… I must protest…" Manager Lan said with anger on her face.
"Protest? Do you know how huge the scandal of your talent is? It's all over the news…" someone on the side suddenly said with a smirk on her face.
It was one of the managers of an artist. She was looking at their group with a mocking gaze.
Ma Liling did not want to stay in this place like this, so she grabs Manager Lan's arms and drags her away. She knew that her manager would cause commotion if she is left with that emotion in this place.
As the three walks away, Manager Lan is showing remorse on her face.
"Liling… it was my fault… if only I was able to stop that scandal… If… If only…"
The tone on Manager Lan's voice felt a bit rueful, so Ma Liling just patted her hand and said.
"We have our ups and downs, but we will work together for a better future, okay? We will be a far stronger team after this storm." She said as she brought positivity towards her two companions.
Manager Lan and Min Feiyang showed a smile on their faces as they agreed with Ma Liling's words. When the three enter the parking lot, Ma Liling suddenly informs them to go first.
"I forgot something… I'll just see you guys in the company." She said as she ran back in.
When the car left, a flash of craftiness appears in Ma Liling's eyes. She has two things to do now in this place. The first thing is to find her husband, and the second is to avenge herself from the mistreatment she suffered.
With an evil grin on her beautiful face, Ma Liling walks towards the bathroom.
