In City A there is a famous actor that has grabbed headlines all over the country because of his good looks and good acting ability and smooth career. He started just last year and as soon as he came out of a drama series and many advertisements people have already noticed him and he already got an army of female die-hard fans.
This actor's name is Lang Jun.
He came from a good and rich family that delves into many businesses. When it comes to money and power, the Lang family could be considered as one of the top 20 within City A.
Lang Jun has been rumored to have a beautiful model as a girlfriend, but this rumor has been unfounded so far. Yet he himself did not deny the rumor and even made it turn into a mystery that seems to have hyped his career further.
But those in his circle of friends already knew that the woman is not yet his girlfriend and that he is still currently wooing the daughter of the Wan Family, Wan Mei Mei.
This is because Wan Mei Mei's family is actually far more affluent than his. And that Wan Mei Mei is a good choice to further advance his career and wealth.
As soon as he got off his black sports car, he immediately saw a beautiful small petite figure running towards him.
Upon seeing the woman, he suddenly frowns. Judging from her wronged expression, he knew that something is amiss.
However, what baffled him the most is her attire and makeup. From the way she looks, Wan Mei Mei could be mistaken for a high-class prostitute. If the two had not been dating for a long time, and if he is not familiar with her, then he would not have recognized Wan Mei Mei.
As soon as the woman jumps in his arms, he suddenly heard low sobbing. And this made his frown go deeper. Who would dare bully his woman? Who would dare insult the woman that he has his eyes on?
Though Wan Mei Mei has not yet reciprocated his feeling, yet he knew that she likes him. On their occasional dates, they would sometimes share a passionate kiss which made him feel that Wan Mei Mei is truly into him.
And now that he is seeing his woman being wronged, he could help but feel angry.
But Lang Jun is a reasonable man and would not succumb easily to any provocation; hence he carefully patted Wan Mei Mei's back while he savors her sweet scent. Though the perfume she used is a bit strong and a bit off from his taste, he did not mind as his heart is already settled towards her.
"What is wrong? Why are you crying? Did someone bully you?" he successively asked with a gentle tone.
When some of the staff saw this, they immediately erupted in gossip and some even take out their phones while capturing this juicy piece of news and rumor-monger appetizing scene.
Sob! Sob!
Wan Mei Mei did not answer but sobs some more and after a while, she slowly lifted her head. With a wronged expression, she said in a pitiable tone.
"Big brother Jun… they… they are bullying me. They are all against me… Huhuhu…" Wan Mei Mei said as her emotion suddenly got the best of her and cried.
Lang Jun feels like thousands of needles pricking his heart upon seeing this scene. He could not help but glare at the people who are standing a few distances away from them.
The two are currently standing in the middle of a brick pathway and around them are green well-trimmed shrubs. The people are all standing at the waiting shed, a few meters away from the two. Meanwhile, Director Gao and Ma Liling who were talking a while ago are also looking at this scene with curious eyes.
"That's actor Lang Jun, right? He really is handsome…"
"Hey, look at that Wan Mei Mei hugging him like that; is she not ashamed of herself?"
"I don't like her for my idol… I think Sister Liling would suit him better… Hihi…"
"Yeah, I agree… he is too handsome for that cheap woman."
"Hey, watch your mouth; she is not from a humble background you know…"
The people began to chat while looking at those two.
Suddenly, someone from the agency which Lang Jun belongs to approaches those who are filming this scene.
"Please… delete the videos and the pictures you've taken. Those who will post this on any social media site, we will make sure that you will pay for some damages…" a tall black-suited man said while glaring at those people in the set.
Of course, this is just a warning and a way to scare these people. In truth, they already have a good story for this if ever this issue will come out.
Meanwhile, Wan Mei Mei has already stopped crying and then looks at Lang Jun with a frown.
"You will protect me, right?" she suddenly said with pitiable eyes.
Lang Jun's heart seems to have been pierced once again as he resolved himself to stand up for his woman.
"Yes… tell me who hurt you, and I will make sure they pay dearly."
With that statement from Lang Jun, Wan Mei Mei smiled and then grabbed his hand while she drags him towards the direction where Ma Liling is resting.
Seeing the two approaching Director Gao step forward.
"Mister Lang Jun, it's an honor for you to visit us." Director Gao said with a smile.
Although Director Gao is a well-known commercial director, he is in fact a very humble man. He works well with many actors and actresses and has built a name for himself in the industry.
"Ah… Director Gao… Long time no see…"
"So you two are…" Director Gao suddenly asked while looking at the interlinking arms.
"Ah… yes… yes… This is…" Lang Jun smiled awkwardly.
But Wan Mei Mei frowns; she did not want this friendly atmosphere. She wanted to scold this stupid director and wanted to vent her annoyance to that poor woman. She could not accept that she was led by the nose of that Ma Liling. She wanted to prove that she is better than Ma Liling, yet she never expected that this would happen, so she is reluctant to accept this result.
Hence, all she can do is rely on Lang Jun's influence.
"They are the ones that bullied me!" Wan Mei Mei suddenly said acting like a small child while pointing at Director Gao and the woman who is calmly sitting on the chair not too far from them.
Since Director Gao's figure is covering Ma Liling's figure, Lang Jun did not notice her.
"Mister Lang… this is… this is just a misunderstanding…" Director Gao said with an apologetic expression on his face.
"Misunderstanding? Ha! You said that I was able to act my part because I was being led by that… that bi… that woman!" Wan Mei Mei said while pointing at the person behind Director Gao.
"No… I mean… Yes… I admit that I said that. Well, that is because I could see that you are having a hard time with your expressions while doing the photoshoots and the solo scenes... But then, if Miss Liling is there, you would show differently, you would show the right expression on your own, that's why…"
"No! No! I cannot accept that! She is no better than me… I am better than her!" Wan Mei Mei suddenly shouted as her emotion suddenly erupted.
What the director said truly hurt her pride.
Director Gao is not one who likes to mince his words. He would always tell the truth to the people with whom he works with. That is one of the reasons why he seldom works with people with haughty personalities.
In fact, in this commercial shoot, Wan Mei Mei should not have been Ma Liling's partner but another model. But for some reason, Wan Mei Mei got in.
Wan Mei Mei suddenly feels like all of her pent-up emotion suddenly erupted upon hearing the truth. It truly hurt her pride as an artist and as a model. She could not accept such a comment even from a director.
"Director Gao, I think you just went overboard…" Lang Jun said with a frown.
"I'm sorry, but that is the truth…"
At this time, Ma Liling has already turned around and has begun discussing with one of the set employees video shoot. She busily looks at the scenes on the screen while nodding her head in appreciation.
When Wan Mei Mei saw this, she was now truly enraged. How could she accept this attitude of Ma Liling? How could accept being ignored as if she is not there?
With anger in her eyes, she suddenly took a few steps and approaches Ma Liling.
"Liling! You dare ignore me!" she shouted.
The people in the set already have their eyes in this location as they could see that there seems to be a fight that's going to happen.
When Ma Liling heard her name, she suddenly turns around and her beautiful hair flew into the air as if in slow motion. Her beautiful and charming face was slowly revealed to the three who are approaching her.
When Lang Jun saw her face, it was as if everything suddenly froze. He could see the woman's beautiful flowing hair slowly revealing a white and gorgeous face only cover with light makeup. Ma Liling's face is naturally glowing, and this is the reason why she did not need to put too much makeup on.
And this scene is enough for Lang Jun to be frozen in shock. In his entire life, he had never seen such a beautiful woman.
Though he could see her often in posters, billboards, or TV ads, he did not believe that she would really be that beautiful. However, upon seeing her in person, he could say that she is more gorgeous than the posters or on the screen.
His reaction did not escape the eyes of Wan Mei Mei as she suddenly turns towards him to complain. She could not accept this, she could not accept that the man she likes suddenly become dumbstruck towards another woman. And the fact that she really hates that woman made her seem to suddenly lose her mind.
This was the last straw… it was as if something inside her mind snapped and her self-control went down the drain.
Eyes turning red in anger, Wan Mei Mei is ready to pounce at her opponent to start a war.
