As soon as I arrived back home I told Lili and Hel my plans to move into Balamb and they agreed easily. With the help of the knights things were packed up and moved rather quickly. Everyone got their own rooms still, Hel was excited to see a large library filled with book. Lili was excited about the training grounds and exercise rooms. I was just happy that everything was going well.
Now I was currently at the Demeter family mansion as the various familia members entered the portal with all sorts of farming tools, bags of seed, saplings, some farm animals like horses and farming equipment. They were quite shocked by the area but quickly got to work sowing seeds and planting rows of trees. Even Demeter was happily helping alongside them.
"The ground is perfect for planting, no rocks or roots, just flat land." Demeter compliments after a couple hours of working.
"Well that's good. You all work pretty fast." I admit, but then again everyone was basically stronger than normal humans so they could move quicker and digging up the soft ground posed little trouble to them. Right now I was looking at hundreds of fruit tree saplings, and different berry bushes. 1,000,000 vali can buy quite a few plants and seeds as most people only care about armor and weapons. "You wouldn't know anyone skilled in building would you? I need to have some stables made for my groups mounts." I ask the goddess.
"We could also do that for you, we have some builders in the familia who take care of our stables." Demeter says.
"That would be fantastic then, maybe stables for 50 or so creatures and then fences and such, I have some food and water troughs available but wouldn't mind more." I might use the large garden inside Balamb for a rare herb garden. Have the stables built outside so the Chocobo could have space to run and fresh air.
"That can be arranged." About 30 minutes later another contract was written up for the building of stables, the purchase of hay and, the building of fences and a large barn for storing things like the saddles and bags, carts, along with food. Didn't cost more than 100,000 valis for everything including the building materials. They would put in orders for wood and other things today.
The next day I got the 13 new saddles and bags and the Demeter familia would start working on the stables which were adjusted a bit to house the large bird and make it so they could get out easily and run.
Demeter herself was absolutely fascinated with Cactuar who was having a blast just running around. As for Tonberry he seemed to have taken a liking to the library and joined Hel in there they get along well.
The knights were riding around on the Chocobo getting used to them before taking them to the dungeon for some training. 3 of the knights would be staying behind as my personal guards while the rest went to go and dive into the dungeon to collect loot. They planned to go deeper into the dungeon, I was curious how the Chocobo would fare in that situation.
Soon after they left I felt the familiar feeling of excellia flow into my body. I would summon one back should the pain of leveling become too much and I need to level but that would probably take a while as they were slowed by Chocobo and were actually going for money at this point.
"Should probably set up my guardian forces before that happens." Looking through my ring I checked on the various summons. "Hmm that would be nice..."
Pulling out 3 red summon stone I push then into my arm.
Bahamut, Neo Bahamut and Bahamut Zero. Three dragon summons, after all I have dragoons but no dragons to go with them. All three are non-elemental which goes with my divine dragoon spirit. I would of course not be summoning them out right now as there are people nearby would would surely panic if 3 dragons showed up.
I'm pretty sure that all of the summons match me in strength, not physically but like level wise, so Boko is stronger and faster now than he previously was when I got him. They level up when I level up.
I could slowly feel the excellia increasing in my body, not very quickly but it was still increasing. I could tell when they dropped down a floor though as the quality of the warmth in my body would increase. However It was a far cry from the Killer Ant grinding we did. After a day of them killing I didn't even make it to the first excellia limit which I put at D-Rank so I figured it would probably take me a while to reach level 4.
The knights arrived back home and looked rather pleased, they had a wad of money for me and food for all the Chocobo. They gave me a mission report which was basically everything had gone well. However the floors had gotten bigger and it would take more time to reach deeper. But their equipment was doing fine so far. The Chocobo were even helpful and could hold their own in combat with choco balls and choco healing.
Anyway I didnt seem to get excellia from their summons which was odd. But I accepted it.
Still for every day they grinded I would get 35x the excellia as a normal person, so 1 days was like 35 days of training in the dungeon for me. Atleast that was how I took it.
2 days later in the middle of the day I finally hit the next rank. Well D rank for one of my stats.
I was watching the barn slowly come together under the workers and feeling the steady stream of excellia in my body when everything froze.
"Now that's what I wanted to see. Some proper level grinding." The god laughed as 3 more template cards appeared in front of me.
The first card started to rotate and stopped on a silver haired woman I didn't recognize. She had a hammer in her hand and was wearing a leather frock.
"Masamune, from final fantasy." The card exploded and information filled my mind.
"Masamune? I don't recognize her from the games." I frowned.
Turning to the next card it came to a halt on something different. It was a shade like being with glowing eyes.
"Venat, from final fantasy." The voice says and once more the card exploded into golden light.
The final card also rolls to a stop on a pink haired woman with a gunblade.
"Lightning, from final fantasy." The card explodes a final time before everything returns to normal.
