章 5: Chapter 5
In a isolated area, in a place full of weeds and plants. A young orange haired kid with baby blue eyes was chewing a grass stalk in his mouth, there was a bitter taste to it. However, he did not mind and even had some nostalgic feelings of back when he was little.
[The analysis is completed, no beneficial properties towards the Host's body can be observed!] The A.I. Chip voice rang.
"Pui!" Nei li immediately spat out the grass stalk in his mouth and replaced it with another plant.
"Take down the shape and qualities of the plant earlier and save it. Now we will proceed with another round of analysis!" Nei li commanded in his mind.
[The task is completed! Beginning to analyse the qualities! From this experiment...] As the scene played out in his mind, Nei li could see very clearly the procedures of the A.I. Chip. [Beep! The experiment is completed. This unnamed plant has a mild paralysis effect!]
"This is amazing feature that A. I. Chip has, My way of thinking is too rigid. Maybe because I was not much of a science enthusiast in my past life, that is why doing this didn't even cross my mind.!"
[Beep! Saving completed!]
"Let's move on to another" Nei li picked plants after plants, and continued to analyze the composition of all of them.
After Nei li was aware of the sad reality of his empty pockets, he was walking around the stalls, to buy some ingredients and necessity, he observed that A. I. Chip is capable of analyzing all of their composition. Nei Li was stumped to know so, an idea sparked in his head as he quickly went to the herb stall and started to analyze all of them.
From stalls to stalls and then to nearest forest and shrubs, he went everywhere he could and sampled, tested and recorded a lots of herbs. It's composition, effects and combination. He found out about a lot of useful ingredients, such as a paralyzing grass, Black pool grass.
With Help of A. I. Chip, he was able to compose a method to enhance its poison enough to be deadly towards beginner Bronze rank beasts.
With this he knew that his task will be even more easy. He continued to test all of them to see if he could find something else.
"Mm! I should get going, it's about time to meet them" Nei li thought as he continued to test and got ready to go on his way.
"A.I. Chip! Analyse..."

Along the way, he saved data about over 30 kinds of plants and herbs. Unfortunately, none of them were of any use to him.
Nei li walked as he saw two boys waking somewhere as they carried something on them. He smiled as he walked to walks them.
"Du Ze, Lu Piao. You are quite early I see. Eager to earn some money" Nei stated as he walked with a smile towards them.
Du Ze and Lu Piao turned around, and say nei li.They nodded their heads in greeting.
"Well, Why wouldn't I? , Who doesn't like money but remember if you lied to me about this then I won't forgive you " Lu Piao huffed as he glared at Nei Li.
"Well we will see if I was lying or not quite quickly won't we? " Nei li merely smiled at his tantrum.
After Nei Li, submerged himself between Library and herbs. he thought of a way to earn some quick Demon spirit coin but he lacked capital. So one day after class he offered Lu Piao a sweet deal, He would borrow money from him for a week and then give him twice the amount back.
Of course Lu Piao was very suspicious, but Nei li offered him to come with him and Lu Piao also tagged in Du Ze. So here they are.
"Nei Li , Here is your two crossbows and two hundred and fifty crossbow bolts. A crossbow costs one hundred sixty demon spirit coins each and the bolts cost thirty demon spirit coins each." Lu Piao told Nei li That's a total of 7820 DSC, you have to give me twice of that, a total of...."
"15640 DSC, I know. let's go to the school training grounds" Nei li shook his head, as he leads them.
"What are you planning to do? I know you want to probably hunt some beats to earn money but it is not so easy Nei Li, especially for us !" Du Ze curiously asked.
Nie Li laughed mysteriously, " It's definitely not easy, but it's not too much trouble if you know your way around stuffs! "
Du Ze was stunned for a moment and then stopped talking.
Holy Orchid Institute Training Grounds
The training grounds were established by the Legend rank Demon Spiritualist Lord Ye Mo and the principal of the school, who was a Black Gold rank Demon Spiritualist. The training grounds were surrounded by towering walls. Every year, experts in Glory City would capture some low level demon beasts and place them into the training grounds. Any Holy Orchid Institute student who is below Silver rank, can enter the grounds. Students can hunt the demon beasts inside and obtain fur, demon crystals, and various other beast materials from them and dispose of them freely at their own choice. Some of the poorer students can hunt inside the training ground to help with their family's financial situation.
Nie Li's group of three haven't even reached 1-star Bronze rank, yet. So the place that they are going to is the training grounds safest area. There are only Horned Sheeps in that area. Although Horned Sheeps are very aggressive in nature, they are still herbivores. Therefore, their attacks would only cause serious injuries. So they can be considered safe. To hunt a few is not much of a trouble, but one cannot be conceited enough to think they can hunt a huge batch, this is why Du Ze was not so sure about Nei li.
Nie Li's group of three entered the training grounds after they had their identities verified by the guards at the entrance.
Training Grounds Apprenticeship Area
Within the sparse trees, there would be patches of grass fields with Horned Sheep slowly pacing them. Their eyes were red. Occasionally, they would prick up their ears to listen. Once an outsider enters their territory, they would mercilessly attack him.
Suddenly, an abnormal sound was heard. The Horned Sheep closest to Nie Li's group let out a growl and rushed towards the direction of the abnormal sound.
Nie Li half squatted. His left arm was straightened with the crossbow over his left arm. His right hand was clenching the trigger. His eyes were glued to the sight and the crossbow was so stable it was as though it was placed onto a holder. Nie Li, at this moment, was like a predator crouching in the bushes, waiting for his prey. He was releasing an awe-inspiring aura.
Du Ze and Lu Piao was shocked to see this change in him, The aura around him was so indescribable that they were not even sure, if this is the same person.
"A.I Chip! Initialize scanning!" Nei li thought.
Following the order, a three-dimensional scenery began to visualize within his head, showing off the vicinity of the nearby area.
Within the light blue geographical image, a cluster of white stars. These stars symbolized the Horned sheep.
Nei li closed his eyes and suddenly a blue light flashed past his cornea.
[Wind estimation completed! Shooting orbit adjusted!]
The surrounding area seemed to have only one person there. The look Nie Li had in his eyes was like a hawk waiting to catch its prey.
Psh!
Nie Li pulled the trigger and a crossbow bolt was unleashed. The bolt that left turned into a silvery light and gracefully flew quickly. The angle that Nie Li targeted was in the blind spot of the Horned Sheep's sight.
"It hit!"
Seeing the bolt fly passed, Du Ze's heart was surprised. Nie Li gave him a weird feeling. It was as though he was a veteran shooter.
The Horned Sheep didn't manage to dodge in time.
Plop!
The bolt hit the back leg of the horned sheep.
Thud!
The horned sheep fell onto the ground wailing, and thrashing. If the bolt was an ordinary bolt, this kind of injury wouldn't even affect a demonized Horned Sheep and it would have definitely gotten up again. However, the bolt that they were using wasn't an ordinary bolt. It was smeared with the drug made from Black Pool Grass and enhanced by A. I. Chip.
The drug swiftly went along with the blood vessels and reached the heart of the Horned Sheep. Soon, the wailing sound of the Horned Sheep was getting softer and softer.
"So fast!" Du Ze was surprised. He could see that Nei li smeared poison on all of the bolts but he never thought that the drug that Nie Li mixed would have such a strong effect. After a moment, the robust sheep completely lost its resistance.
Lu Piao was also surprised. He fully understood the strength of these sheep, which was the strength of two Bronze rank Fighters combined. It usually required a long time to defeat one, but this Horned Sheep was defeated with just a small bolt.
"This" Lu Piao opened his mouth and closed it immediately after.
"Now do you think I can triple your money!" Nie Li faintly laughed.
"Yeah," muttered Lu Piao, with his face turning red. both he and Du Ze exchanged glances, they wanted to know what was that poison but since they didn't knew Nei Li that well, they couldn't ask so freely.
Nei li saw their hesitation but didn't explain himself, he could simply offer them a vial or two later, there is no need to answer a inquiry just to trigger a volly of more questions.
Seeing the fallen Horned Sheep, Lu Piao felt as if he was still living in a dream. Nie Li's look and action from earlier till now was deeply engraved within his mind, leaving him with deep admiration. Ever since he was young, this was the first time Lu Piao had truly admired someone. Nie Li's shooting skill was simply at the master level. Even if an ordinary person were to train for ten years, he still wouldn't able to reach Nie Li's level.
