章 14: Zolingham and hephaestus
The only reason I wanted to go to zolingham and altena was for my next S class skills.
Currently I had about 80,000,000 SP which was more than enough for multiple S class skill but I already had 2 slots filled with the eternal mangekyou sharingans, luckily rinnegan upgraded from it saved the two extra slot and extra skill, well more bonus skill, Susanoo didn't take any slot either so I had 5 more slots to play with.
it was hard to master these skills and to use in battles accurately. So mass buying skills will only result in, me getting confused how and what to use.
my current skills were very efficient against single opponent and keeping me save but not against multiple opponents and doing damage, Susanoo is way too destructive to be used freely, hence I need skills to help me take out many opponents together. And I chose two S class skill for that. The most versatile I could find for my current situation. One of them was,
[Gates of babylon] (S) : gives the user the ability to store infinite amounts of non living material in your treasury, you can fire the weapons you have at your opponent, the weapons will return to the treasury at your command.
The skill itself wasn't much and it didn't had its most important aspect of infinite weapons but if used properly it will be just as op, though the extra skill it has is one of the reasons why I bought this
[divine chains 'enkidu'] : stronger the opponent, stronger are the chains of heaven. This skill or weapon is perfect to subdue strong monster or people.
it costed me 500,000 SP But to fill the treasury I had to buy another skill, this one is an A rank skill costing only 30,000 SP.
Trace on(A): gives the user the ability to create weapons using mana, only the weapons the user has traced using the skill can be created.
I can fill my treasury with durandal weapons, it will take time but it was one of the things that I had in abundance. Hence my first stop will be the sword smithing city Zolingham, it produces the best weapons in the world aside from orario but also, it mass produces them, I think the city was in contract with hephaestus familia for suppling low quality weapons to the richest familia in the world, hephaestus familia. But I only had to trace the best weapons I find and start mass producing them,
It was towards West of the continent, near the kaios desert which was south west of the continent, that was a dangerous place. It took a full 3 weeks to reach the city due to the path being zig Zak due to mountains,
The city itself was the biggest one I had ever seen with a crap ton of Smith shops right of the bat. It was an expensive place to live in hence we decided to get our jobs done as quickly as possible,
first order of business was finding an Inn. Done.
Then Lord shiva went around to meet other gods here and collect information about the place. While I on the other hand sold some of the zeus and hera familia weapon I was given to the smiths to make some money, only 4 of them were enough to make our pay for living here. Now I had 23 weapons left.
Next day I went to the shop and started inspecting weapons one by one, tracing each one that I find, strong, useful and most importantly throwable, since I will be raining them down on my opponents, for that it had to be effective when thrown at high speed,
Hence I started tracing the weapons, I even bought a few of them just to show that I am not doing anything fishy just a child interested in weapons that's all, I am almost 9 years old now huh?.
The moment I got back at the Inn I started creating weapon using trace ability I had, the pleasant surprise was when I created the first weapon, the system for the first time in past 2 years gave a quest.
[quest(warlord's treasury) : create 50,000 durandal weapons for your treasury.
Reward: 30,000,000 SP
Failure : death of user
Penalty: miss me? I know you did, bet you are drooling over the reward, so just get your sorry ass working]
Finally, yes I did miss you my dear little system, who will give me god damn broken abilities if not you.
The difference between adamentite and duradal weapons was absolutely massive, I could create over 200 adamentite weapons and still have mana left whereas I could only create 15 duradal before my mana gets dangerously low, but now that I finally got a quest that gives ample of SP I can level up.
Leveling up to level 6 increased my mana as well, now I was able to create 20 durandal weapons before my mana hit dangerously low point.
It took me an entire week to trace all the weapons I wanted but still, here in the city there was an abundance of weapons in the sword city but the amount of high quality durandal weapons was extremely low, hence I had to wait one more week for the new batch from orario to arrive, that's when shiva told me that the hapheastus familia was here for there annual meet, where there is an exchange between the smiths of hephaestus familia and the smiths of zolingham.
Zolingham is a city state, independent of any other power like orario, it sells and exports weapons all over the continent, the city is controlled by a guild like organisation called Smith Hall. Where all the deities in the city come together to take decisions, hephaestus familia has contracts with the Smith Hall itself. They bring in a handful of high quality weapons and dungeon materials and the city provides large amounts of low quality weapons which usual large low level familias buy.
And apparently shiva managed to get his hands on the invitation to the assembly or meeting that will happen nest day, the place where all the highest quality costliest weapons are placed, this was a god sent opportunity, quite literally.
Next day we went to the dome like structure in the middle of the city, the Smith Hall. It was less busy than usual because only the ones with an invitation were allowed to enter.
[limbo].. As four invisible clones appeared behind me, I could see them with rinnegan but other could not, using the rinnegan I can tell that the highest adventurer here was a level 4 from hapheastus familia, most probably tsubaki. So my clones being spotted was unlikely, hence I sent them to search for the place the weapons are kept.
Shiva went his own way to meet his friend who gave him the invitation, and I went to the room that one of my clones discovered the room where the weapons were kept, I reach the room, round the corner I could see 2, level 3s, guarding the door. I could just knock them out but it will create a commotion if they are discovered, hence
I am going to just walk past them. Tsukuyomi baby, they are guarding the door. in their minds. Haahahah.
On reaching the place, the clones started gathering the good weapons and I started tracing them. After around 15 minutes, with the rinnegan I saw someone coming, from the aura it was a deity, and it was hapheastus. Why was she coming here?.
I quickly hide myself and cancelled the illusion on the guards so they act naturally, she greeted them and came inside the room and started going through the weapons, she was checking the weapons before selling them?. After a few moments of checking she started leaving
But suddenly turned back, I ducked inside my hiding place, then she again started to checking the weapons. Checking for fault twice before selling out huh?. That's some dedication for your work, you have my respect goddess.
After a few moments she started leaving, I was about to get out, when again turned around, I jumped back in again. I know they say third time's the charm but I think twice is already enough. After a moment she stepped outside the door and I came out and sighed almost.
She stepped back in, as I jumped back inside the box I was using to hide. OH! WHAT NOW?. Just leave already damn it. This box was not comfortable. This time she full on hugged the weapon.
Huh?. Oh! She wasn't checking the weapons but caressing them, she doesn't what to part ways with them. that's some unhealthy obsession there.
After 10 minutes, I had enough. I sneaked behind her and used Tsukuyomi on the guards to send them to bathroom, while I stood behind her while she was in la la land with a duradal sword.
"ahem" I said as she was startled and jolted with an 'eep' and almost dropped the sword.
Did my ears deceive me, it was the infamously cute 'eep' I have only seen in anime, now that I have experienced it in life I can die happy now.
Hephaestus turned around and saw no-one?
"down here" I voice came from a little lower, she looked down to see a child no older than 10 with a blindfold standing there.
"are..are you lost child" she asked shuttering a little, he was wearing a blindfold maybe he didn't saw what she was doing. She hoped.
"no I saw what you were doing, and wanted to ask is something the matter?" the boy asked innocently, it was over. Her reputation will be gone, she will never be able to look at her children in their eyes without shame and embarrassment. But still the boy was young maybe she can still fix her situation.
"not.. nothing, it was that I... I was checking the weapons for any fault. Yes checking them" I said. Please believe it, please believe it.
"oh okay" he said, as I almost sighed in relief when he suddenly said
"but why were you checking them with your breasts" boy said as my body stiffened. I looked at the boy who was grinning, this little brat he knows.
"5 candies"
"50"
this little. I grinded my teeth and said "I only have 12"
He then extended him hands and said "deal". This little brat. I took out the 12 candies I had gave it to him,
"Not A Word to Anyone" I said threateningly while he just smiled and said "Okay". Wait how did he get here.
"where are the guards" I asked while the boy shrugged and said "beats me".
I hurriedly left, hoping the brat won't open his mouth. But why was he wearing a blindfold if he could see.... Maybe like me... Nah. He must have thought it was cool. I should hurry before tsubaki starts to make trouble. There are also some people that needs to be punished.

The said brat was stareing at the door where hapheastus hurriedly left, she must have been embarrassed someone saw that side of her, well whatever I at least got free candies out of it. I picked up the sword she was passionately hugging,
It smelled good, must be perfume. Alright back to work. As I started tracing the weapons.
The hapheastus familia left the morning the next day whereas we decided to leave after 3 days, next stop was altena, the magic city, but to reach there we have to cross the kaios desert which was a very dangerous place for normal people without falna. But me being an adventurer solved that problem, next was the fact that travelling through the desert one could easily get lost, so we decided to hitch a ride with a merchant that was going to warusu, form their we will go to Loiad city.
