章 209: The book

"The book was called 'The midnight musician' and it wasn't anything special," Fu Jie continued as he turned to meet Xiao Jingyi's eyes, "But that book is the reason why I'm here." 

Xiao Jingyi was certainly a bit taken back to hear all this but he tried his best not to react too strongly as he patiently waited for Fu Jie to continue. 

"You might have already guessed it but the book was about this world and the hero of the book was the infamous midnight musician, Bai Ling." 

Xiao Jingyi's eyebrows creased together as he heard that name and he looked to be a bit annoyed with just the name. This was also to be expected considering the fact that the two were never on good terms with each other. 

As the demon raining blood, Bai Ling was always an enemy for Xiao Jingyi.
