Fu Jie couldn't help but be a little surprised as he realized that for some reason Yao Lin wasn't exactly fond of Bai Ling. Even Fu Jie didn't like Bai Ling but he could immediately sense that his dislike and Yao Lin's dislike were completely different. 

Fu Jie didn't like Bai Ling because he blamed the man for his current situation. For all these reasons, Fu Jie didn't like the man but he wouldn't say he hated him either, whereas, Fu Jie could clearly sense that Yao Lin hated the man for sure.
