章 22: What is your Dream?
At night Alex stealthily went out of the inn they were staying in as he went to the meeting place that was on the note he placed in the chef's back pocket.
He went into a dark alley, that was littered with trash and possibly dead animals, behind the restobar to meet with the chef. Alex doesn't know if the chef would come to their meeting place, but he chose to trust his instincts and the chef's curiosity.
"Man, would it kill them to at least clean this place? This place smells like a slaughterhouse." said Alex as he was waiting beside the restobar. He also noticed someone behind him for a while now but pretended not to know.
"That's because it is. You can also stop pretending I know you've noticed me already." said the chef as he was coming out of the shadows.
"Well I knew you weren't 'just a chef' so I invited you to meet me here because I have a proposition. And I also didn't get your name, so I wanted to know." said Alex while smiling at the chef.
"The name is Braga and what do you want?" asked Braga as he knew that the kid in front of him was someone special.
"Braga what is your dream?" asked Alex
"I dunno. I don't do dreams. I just want to get out of this hellhole." said Braga
"Well Braga, if I said I could help get you out of here and ask you to join my crew as a chef, would you accept?" asked Alex
"If you could really do that, then I would give you my loyalty because I truly don't want to stay in this place anymore. But getting me out of here, how would you do that?" asked Braga as he truly wanted to leave this place and get revenge on some people.
Alex just raised his pointer finger and said, "By getting rid of Don Papito." Braga was surprised by this as he didn't expect the innocent-looking kid in front of him to kill Don Papito for him.
"If you succeed in killing Don Papito, I would give you my loyalty as a chef and fight for you as I have no family left in this world." said Braga as his family died when he was thirteen years old because Don Papito shot and killed them in front of him just because he wanted to test his guns.
"If you join my crew you would have a new family and I will help you to find your path again so that when you finally have a dream, I will help you to the best of my abilities so you could achieve it. So Braga, trust in me." Alex said as he patted Braga's shoulder and left him standing in the middle of the dark alley. It was unknown to anyone what Braga was thinking right now but he chose to place his trust on the kid and join him in his adventure.
While going back to the inn Alex was thinking about his conversation with Braga. 'Braga seems to be hiding something from me when I asked about his dream. Maybe it's something personal for him and he can't just talk about it to a man he just met. Well, he would talk to me about it when he is ready. Yosh, next up is Fraulein, the Long Arm and Leg guy.'
Alex got back to the inn and checked up on Franco and saw him sleeping soundly on his bed. Then we went to check on Robin and as he looked at her sleeping face, he smiled and felt something warm inside of his chest and the feeling was like telling him to protect her with his life. But being the blockhead that he is, he thought of this as a captain's feeling of protecting his crew members. So after checking that they were safe and sound he went back to his room and slept as he was going to try and look for and talk to the Fraulein tomorrow.
Unknown to Alex when he visited Robin's room, Robin was only pretending to be sleeping and was disappointed that Alex only looked at her. 'Wait why am I expecting something from him. It's not that I like him or anything. Hmph! He's not even that handsome.' thought Robin as she tried to convince herself that she wasn't disappointed at Alex's actions.
While they were sleeping soundly, there was a meeting going on in a big mansion on top of a hill as it was overlooking Falgus Haven. This was of course Don Papito's house.
"My subordinates have found traces of the Devil Child sleeping in the inn that is close to 'Black Out'. What should we do boss?" asked a subordinate of Don Papito
"Follow them and tomorrow night, we will kidnap her and play with her for a while, then give her to the Marines for her bounty." said Don Papito while licking his lips as he imagined Nico Robin's body and how he would r*** her and then give her to his subordinates for them to become their plaything then kill her after that. Then they would give her to the Marines for her bounty and they would be rich.

ImStar0710 My novel will still follow the canon timeline, but since my OCs would be added there are more things that would change in the One Piece World. This novel is just a product of my ideas that I got while I was reading about One Piece.
