章 203: Is That What You're Worried About?

The high from putting those people in their place on Friday night didn't last long. Eden was too stressed about seeing her mother again at Ezra's wedding. 

The last time she saw her was over a year ago. So much had changed since then. Last Easter, she had been single as can be and weak to the whims of her mother's verbal abuse. Speaking her mind and walking out had been the bravest thing she ever did at that point. 

She could still remember the way she called Jonah desperately needing a distraction and he delivered no questions asked. That was what originally made her fall in love with him. 

Now here they were, having been through so much together and less than a year from getting married themselves, about to face down her mother in person. He had already neatly handled her father but that was a different situation. It was at home. This would be in public.
