章 84: Stop Moping

Jonah's guilt threatened to swallow him whole over the next week the more time he had to think about what happened on Sunday. At least Troy's scratches healed fully without leaving any marks behind so that wasn't on his conscience on top of everything else. 

Eden's face and how upset her voice sounded during that confrontation with his proxy continued to haunt him. His fault. She was angry at him, not Troy, but the more innocent of the two had taken the brunt of the damage. 

He always caused problems for the people he cared about. 

His aunt and uncle had to pay all of his medical bills over the years after the money his parents left him ran out. They had to care for a sick, traumatized child without warning. He knew they loved him but he also knew they still worried about him all these years later. He had caused them nothing but stress.
