章 100: Loveless relationship

It had been more than a week since he last saw her. Although he did miss her so much, he just needed time to sort out some things. In all honesty, his alibi had nothing to do with his job but had more to do with how he felt about her.

"Becky, will you send my next appointment in?" He called his secretary, wanting to get his work done as soon as possible. He wanted to finish early because he felt obligated to visit her.

He had been putting off visiting her, knowing that she already arrived the other day. He kept telling her that his job was taking all his time. It was partly true, but he could easily take time off if he wanted to. The problem was, he did not want to because he was not ready to see her yet.

"Raf, good to see you, man." His next guest walked into his office and sat down on the chair in front of his desk, not waiting for an invitation.
