章 123: Pep Talk

We all look at the lieutenant, waiting for our orders. This mission has been full of really nasty twists and turns thus far, and it just took a turn for the worst.

If the enemy managed to get their hands on a hostage, then that changes our priorities. Now we have to save that hostage first, at all costs…yes, at all costs. As soldiers of Marelirium, we swore a duty to do our utmost best to safeguard the lives of citizens. 

"We are going with our Lambda maneuver. Lt. Graves, take care of it," Lt. Song instructs, cracking her neck. 

"With all due respect ma'am…we're taking the asset to the hostage taker?" Lt. Leads hesitantly points out.

The Lambda maneuver is a maneuver that involves using something as bait to direct the enemy's attention while another force takes another route to take him out from behind. And in this situation, the only bait we can give is the asset.
