"What do you mean by that?" Darius asked as he stared boredly at the moonchild who was standing there like he wasn't a walking red flag to Alexei. 

Everything about this man was unsettling and he hated that feeling, not just as one of the Penta, but also as the Alexei enforcer. He had a responsibility to the wolves and he had to make sure that they were safe, but how safe were they at the moment?

The Alexei enforcer had been trying to hold back his disappointment and anger since the moonchild had come, but the more they learned about him, the more they realized he was a threat to the home they loved. 

Darius couldn't have that. He had seen how hard the Penta had worked to make Alexei a safe place. They had even managed to get the werewolves to come from the human lands and function from Alexei, their very home.

Surely all of that had to mean something.
