Oh, but she was right to have trust issues with the man. He had abandoned them when they needed him the most, defended his sister instead of laying the truth out for them to understand, and even when the world was crashing, he had packed up and left. 

Maybe they were being too blind to Gaviria's loyalty to Alexei, but they couldn't even be blamed for it.

"I'm still your brother, Cami. We both know I couldn't out Zari just like that. She was fighting for something and it was worth it, you know that too. 

"If I hadn't done what she asked, she would have gone ballistic and the earthlings wouldn't exist," Gaviria said quietly and Camille agreed with him.
