章 404: Hera’s Proposition [1]

"I have a feeling I'll regret this, but let's see what you got," Mikhail said to Hera who was just staring at him. How could her brother have so little faith in her? Well, there was a chance he would regret this, but there was also the off chance that he wouldn't, all he had to do was listen.

"Well—" Hera said, unsure of how to break the idea to her brother.

Mikhail was looking at her like he was staring right into her soul, while he waited to see what Hera got. It was almost like he knew nothing good would come out of her mouth but had decided to give her the benefit of doubt.

He could already guess the answer from Hera's patterns over the years they had been in Alexei, and Mikhail wished that that shit could be surprising, but it wasn't, not anymore.

It was like a game he had played, an algorithm he mastered so well and reigned in, and this was the algorithm of Hera's stupidity.
