章 2: Might As Well Confront Reality...
Mr. Baek didn't leave the bedroom but watched her walk into the bathroom. 'There's something weird about her,' he thought. He quickly adjusted his expression and walked up to the curtains. Opening them wide, he let the sunlight come in and brighten the room.
It was still early in the morning, but the sun was warm. Eliminating any sort of cool air from the previous night.
Mr. Baek heard the water from the sink and finally relaxed a bit. He was someone powerful beyond belief, yet he had to babysit a twenty year old toddler. He worried that if didn't retire soon, he might accidentally let her die in some dungeon.
'I'm not fit to babysit,' he thought.

Wu Sun-Mi kept brushing her teeth with the electric toothbrush. Standing in front of the mirror, she couldn't help but frown. A familiar face mirrored her expression and frowned too, annoying her more.
This wasn't her face. This was Wu Sun-Mi's face, which was also her name, but it was still not her.
Wu Sun-Mi, the actual her, was a fourth year college student studying business with a minor in english. This person in front of her was a very unlucky cannon-fodder, doomed to die in three years time.
Spitting the toothpaste into the sink, Wu Sun-Mi couldn't help but sigh. Maybe if she had done something more productive in her free time, instead of reading online novels she wouldn't be in this situation.

"Ugh," she grunted. This might be the ideal situation for some people, but not for her. She was not smart enough to transmigrate. Everytime she read online novels the transmigrators always remembered every single event that happened in the novel. She did not.
She roughly remembered some events, but she was someone who finished an entire novel in less than two days. Therefore, the things that she remembered were non-existing.
She had thought of writing everything she remembered from the novel, but she couldn't risk someone finding it and using it against her.
She was weak enough as she was.
Not smart, infuriating, and depressed.

'Argh,' Wu Sun-Mi grunted again. It was an overly infuriating situation. Taking a deep breath, she decided to calm down.
There was no way to return. She didn't want to return. She knew what she had to do the entire time, she was just too lazy. But, it was impossible for her to not deal with the situation.
She looked at herself in the mirror, and recalled what happened during season 1.
[The New Beginning]
The first season of the novel took place in Korea during the twenty-first century. There was nothing different about the technology, housing, or fashion compared to reality. The only differences were the gates and the hunters.
Gates had opened all around the world, filled with powerful and evil creatures that threatened the safety of people if the gates weren't closed within three weeks.
Thankfully, around the time gates appeared, hunters did too. They were like everybody else, except for the fact that they were stronger, healed faster, and developed special abilities.
The protagonist, Ra Sung-Ho, was one of them. A hunter.
Unfortunately, Wu Sun-Mi was one of the reasons for that.
The protagonist awakened due to the Wu family monopolizing all the gates in Korea and breaking up the engagement between the two families, causing his father to have a stroke that lead to a coma; that lead to his family going bankrupt.
In conclusion, Wu Sun-Mi's family is the reason for the protagonist to not trust anyone… his tragic bad story.
Oh!
... and Wu Sun-Mi is the woman who betrayed him and abandoned him when he was down. His ex-fiancé.
"It's not that bad," Wu Sun-Mi murmured to herself. 'I just need to make sure I don't die... or become poor.'
"Ugh."
'I'm too dumb to make any changes to the story, so I'll let the story continue as it's supposed to. But, I'll make sure I don't become part of the protagonist's death note.'
