Adjutant Kir von Giselle's ambush failed, therefore a barrier was built to keep the adversaries out of the Imperial Palace and the main city. The Emperor gave the order for all the survivors to shelter in the Main Palace where the major force is currently located because he knew that the enemies this time are different from the first wave. They couldn't, at the very least, allow the number of deaths that the human race had already experienced to rise again.

Dean Frey von Gregory was forced to float to the skies alongside Adjutant Kir von Giselle. He can only ride Kir's black hawk, as his quantum beast is a white snake, and that is what he does. They flew together as they looked up at the barrier above them. Their focus is primarily on the man in the red robe who is concealing his identity by donning a mask.

"If that person feels like destroying the barrier, it won't last long." Dean Frey von Gregory commented.
