"Answer me. Why are you ignoring my calls?" Ruby emphasized adamantly. 

"Ruby it is as simple as that... I don't want your life to become difficult once anyone finds out that you are still in contact with me." David explains before heaving a sigh. 

Ruby steps closer. "No one can stop me from contacting you nor the truth is going to change that you are my brother." 

David stares into her eyes and he can tell she was genuinely concerned about him yet happy to see him and at the brink of tears but still... David has to push her away. 

Once her in-laws find out that she is in touch with her brother who created a scene at the party and got stranded by his father will only bring a bad image to their family name and he doesn't want anyone blaming her sister. 

"I can't see you working like this David. This is not who you are. Let me help you, Dave." She places a soft hand on his arm for support and reassurance.
