章 90: Surprising To Be Surprised

"I am doing great Sabrina. Actually, I am out of the country right now and will be back in a day or two." David's voice echoes through the phone. 

"Oh..." It was all Sabrina could manage to say. 

He is out of the country and he didn't even tell me before leaving? 

She hears someone talking behind David and a rustling sound after which he finally spoke. "I am sorry. I'll call you back later alright? Business calls." 

"Yes. Sure. You do that. Take care." And the line went dead. 

After the call ended Sabrina kept wondering about him. Where was he? Was he on a business trip? Why hadn't he told me before leaving? 

Of course, why would he have told me when I was the one to push him away? 

Throwing her phone beside her pillow she tried to sleep out the night.
