"I will go ask her if she needs any help," Sabrina says. David clears his throat and looks at Sabrina.
"No… You can keep doing your work I'll take care of that." David turns and walks towards the door without looking behind at Sabrina.
As soon as he walks out of the restaurant a feeling of guilt washed over him as if he has lied to Sabrina even though he hasn't said anything to her but hiding it had the same feeling of lying. He didn't want her to think anything bad about him and he liked to stay an ordinary person around her and this moment would have ruined just because of Katherine.
He looks at Katherine who was walking towards him. David decides to move ahead and not towards Katherine. He wanted to move away from the restaurant so that Sabrina couldn't witness or even hear their conversation. He knew Katherine was following behind him with the clanking of her heals it was obvious. David stopped walking at the end of the street on the sidewalk when he turns and finds Katherine standing behind with her arms crossed across her chest.
"Care to explain any of this?" Katherine questions.
"Explain what?"
"Your intimacy with that girl? And don't deny when I just saw you both together so close, smiling and holding each other."
"I never tried to." David deadpans.
"So this is what you have been doing behind me?"
"Didn't you break up with me Kath?"
"And whose fault was that?" David heaves a sigh before looking back at Katherine.
"If you are here to blame me then hurry and let's get over with it soon." Katherine unfolds her arms and gives him a disbelieving look.
"So you're throwing it all back on me?"
"Did I say that now?" David scoffs.
"Yeah, you're trying to say that it's all because of me that you acted that way."
"It's funny how you have always put words into my mouth and to say I had been still enthralled by you is such a shame." David shakes his head and Katherine gives him a furious look. David starts walking past her when she doesn't say anything.
"Are you going to throw away our two-year relation on a girl you just met?" Katherine stops him by holding his hand.
"Don't forget who threw it away first," he says, jerking away his hand.
"But we have always worked out on our way back."
"It was always me for keeping 'us' together… but not anymore." David emphasized on the word 'us' and starts walking back towards the restaurant, leaving her behind on the sidewalk and this time she didn't stop him.
