The assistant shook his head. He didn't know much about these things. it has something to do with the president's experiment.

sure. Ian nodded. He didn't rush her. don't disturb her. I'll wait outside for a while.

Ian was waiting outside. He looked around but didn't see the notebook that Joan had taken away.

In the laboratory, someone had already told Joan that Ian had come.

"Teacher?" Joan put down the microscope in her hand and paused for a moment. Then, she waved her hand to dismiss the person.

After they left, she tidied up the report and took another look at the laboratory before coming out.

When she came out, Ian was still waiting outside.

"I heard you have a new research project?" Ian's first concern was the new research that his assistant had mentioned.
