章 4: Chapter 4
Alivia's POV
As I sat in a carriage I noticed it had gold rims and most of the carriage was white. It was very lovely. I stepped outside towards all the homes and soon after we arrived at the kingdoms library it was extremely huge it had five floors and everything looked tremendously expensive. I got out of my father's carriage and the carriage left soon after, my maid walked inside with me.
There were quite a few steps. As soon as I got to the entrance of the library, they informed me that ranks 1 and 2 are only allowed in the library. However, there was an exception if they were your maid and butler they were allowed to accompany you in the library. There were few people on the first floor. It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
There were so many books I could hardly wait to read so many romance novels and mystery novels. I quickly walked to a library worker and asked "Excuse me, ma'am I have a quick question, do you know where the romance and mystery novels are? The woman responded, "They're on the very top floor."
I rushed in a hurry up to the stairs but quickly remembered how I was supposed to act in this society so I quickly slowed my paste. Eventually, I reached the top floor but my maid had lost track of where I was. Besides me, there was only one other person. He was a well dressed young man with light green hair and beautiful blue eyes. I quickly recognized him as Cameron Smith.
Our eyes meet each other for a quick second. I quickly looked around to find the romance and mystery novels, I decided not to pay any attention to him since Cameron was one of the many men in love with Lilly. A couple of minutes later I had over 10 books in my hands. And I found it difficult to carry all of the books.
I rushed over towards the table to place them down but before I could I dropped all of the books because I tripped over someone's foot and landed on my face. I looked and turned to see a tall figure beside me. It was the same guy I had seen from earlier.
Did I ever mention how all the people who were head over heels for Lilly were extremely cruel to me? Every one definition of me being cruel towards lily was me just giving her advice on how she should treat her maids better. Lilly was always making me seem like an evil villain and her as a victim. I looked up very annoyed gathered all the books that scattered around on the floor. The green-haired boy kept on looking at me, not sure what to do. He bent down and said, "My apologies I did not mean to trip you. My name is Cameron Smith and it's a pleasure to meet you." I was extremely shocked that he was acting kind because in my last few lives he has acted rudely to me.
A thought goes through my head: what if the reason they all acted cruelly to me was that Lilly spread those rumors about me to them. I made up a plan to meet all of Lilly's main suitors. That way they are not prejudiced towards me. I mentally slap myself in the face for not thinking about this before. We both get up and he says "I've been searching for that book for a while. Do you mind If I borrow it from you I promise I will return it to you?" I then said, "Yes of course as long as you return it." We then both say our goodbyes and Camron walks away.
I then heard a similar voice behind saying "Miss Evergreen I have been searching all over for you please don't run off like that again. I agreed and we left the library checking out all the books I got and left in a carriage. Once, when we got in the carriage I was thinking about how nice the green-haired boy was so nice to be compared to my other lives. I was still a little sad about how Camron got to read that book first. We finally arrive home and I step out of the carriage.
