Seeing the sphere-shaped item through the ground within Lux's hand, Jason frowned, because he had never heard of such an item, which only further fuelled the premonition that formed in his mind.

Subconsciously, he inched closer towards Lux's tunnel while every single member of the small human group was lying on the ground, and their mana fluctuations were dissipating.

Frowning, Jason only watched the scene in front of him in horror. Never would he have imagined witnessing something like this through his mana eyes.

Even if he knew that humans were greedy and selfish, Jason thought that it would take some time before he would witness the first homicide.

However, after having seen humanity's nature during two beast tides and thousands of dying humans and even more beasts, Jason wasn't really that shocked about death anymore and had grown numb to it to some extent.
