章 47: Chapter 47 Returning to school
Next day.
"Rex, I humbly thank you again for taking drastic measures against the villains in USJ. If not for you, there could be more serious cases. Of course, what happened to you was unfortunate." Nezu said with a bow.
"It's okay Principal Nezu. Like I said before I was also reckless on my part too. As an aspiring hero, we should be prepared for these kinds of accidents." Rex said to the principal humbly.
He was in a room where many teachers including All Might were present. Rex was also in his school uniform in the same room with the inclusion of another person.
"Rex, meet Naomasa Tsukauchi, a detective responsible for questioning all the villains we captured," Nezu said referring to a man wearing a tan color overcoat and similar hat.
"Nice to meet you again, Rex. As Principal Nezu said I am a detective. We tried our best to find the identity of Tomura Shigaraki and that Kurogiri person but we found nothing. Also regarding that Emiya person, same case with him too. It's like they appeared out of nowhere. I am truly sorry for not finding the culprits." Tsukauchi said looking a little apologetic.
"Oh okay," Rex said with the same calm face.
'NO REACTION?!' They all thought in the room. They have guessed that Rex would be a little angry or disappointed hearing this since he was the one who suffered the most but there was no reaction from him. It was like he was not expecting from them anything.
'This kid. He is way calmer who just experienced death. Just how did Bisha train him?' All Might thought.
"Then I will come to point. Rex Kinzoku, how did you find out that there is someone behind them?" Tsukauchi asked in a serious tone.
"Simple. That handy person was very young to have that kind of backbone coming to kill All Might. Not to mention he has two strong forces by his side. One for fighting All Might and the other for escape." Rex said.
"That's what we thought. Then onto the next question, how did you detect that Nomu was not human? I know you have an ability to sense aura but I want to hear this from you."
"Simple. His aura was just like a dog who was asked to move by his owner. The same goes for that foggy guy. The body had a neutral or no aura at all. So I guessed they were just artificial creations." Rex answered.
"Just last question. Do you know anyone who is behind them?"
"Now that's a stupid question, Tsukauchi-san. What police was not able to find, do you expect me to know that?" Rex said being a little serious giving a cold glare to the detective.
They thought that was indeed a foolish question but they didn't expect Rex to become this serious.
Tsukauchi sighed and smiled wryly, "Indeed it was a foolish question on my part. I am very sorry Rex."
Rex nodded then asked Nezu, "Principal, can I leave? I want to surprise my friends and show them my new HAND!" He raised his left hand with his middle finger standing. "Oh sorry. My HAND!" He said again with showing a proper fist.
"Ah yes, you can leave, Rex," Nezu said.
Rex nodded and left.
"He is indeed a very sharp boy." Tsukauchi said then added, "Which raises more suspicion."
"Mr. Tsukauchi, it is enough. I allowed you for questioning him but it doesn't mean that you could make just any of my students, suspicious. You didn't find any clue, doesn't mean you could just raise suspicion on my students without any proof." Nezu said being serious.
All the teachers present were astonished to hear a casual person being angry.
"Yeah, my head is not working very well for now." Tsukauchi said with a helpless smile then added, "Well then I should leave before I am kicked out. I will share my findings with you." He then left.
"Sigh* Aizawa, keep an eye on Rex. I don't want you to suspect him but just observe him." Nezu said to Aizawa who was covered in bandages.
Aizawa frowned a little then nodded. He can't refuse Nezu that Rex will know when he will be observing Rex. He knew what type of intelligence Rex possessed and faking his emotions is one of Rex's good abilities.

Everyone in the class 1-A was in a solemn mood. They had one less person with them. They found out that he was not in the hospital anymore. When they asked if Rex was okay or where is he right now, they were only informed that Rex was okay and didn't tell them his address.
"Hey, tell us what happens to Rex? I am curious." Hagakure asked Kyoka.
"Same here. Momo-chan, I heard he is closed to you. Do you know anything about him?" Asui asked Momo who become deep red.
They thought that her reaction was too obvious. They all felt a little jealous of her and Rex. Girls with Momo since she was his fiancée and also a love interest. He was the most handsome boy in class without a doubt next to Todoroki. Some boys thought that Rex was lucky to have many females who like him but in the end, they were going to become heroes so it was most unlikely that he will date anyone.
"Please keep quiet and settle down. Our class representative- no our captain may not be with us but we have to continue for becoming a proper hero!" Ida said standing on the podium.
"Oi, it's not like he is dead!" Kirishima said.
"NO WORRIES!" They suddenly heard a voice behind the door which opened and Rex entered like All Might, "BECAUSE I AM HERE!!!"
"!!!!"
Most of them became excited surrounding him and asking various questions.
"Oi, tin can. How did you grow your arm!? Tell me." Bakugo being Bakugo asked.
"Right, let me show you cool stuff." Rex closed his eyes then reopened again with a red glowing ball in his red eye. "I told you that I make microscopic machines called nanites, right? This is also a nanite which gives me the ability to heal at an incredible rate. It is triggered when I was shot in the brain." Rex said then spoke to Bakugo, "I have become more powerful so try to think and become strong, little explosives."
"What the hell?! That's complete cheating! But I will still beat you!" Bakugo said then went to his seat.
"Ah… is that really a machine?" Midoriya asked nervously but choked out when Rex gave him a cold glare for a second.
Rex still has to teach this idiot a lesson for being too close to those villains but he was against bullying and looking at Midoriya's sorry state, Rex didn't even need to say anything to him but he still has to talk to him.
"Yes, it is," Rex said and tapped Alpha-nanite a few times. They were awed looking at the crimson ball in his left eye socket. "It is hard to explain but it is a special type of nanite that I call Alpha-Nanite. You better become strong to beat me." Rex said with his casual smile.
Midoriya nodded with a stern face. Then classmates also started to ask Rex about his fight until they heard a voice.
"Good morning class. Sit down." Aizawa opened the door and said. He was covered in a bandage but his face was visible.
All of them nodded and then sat down.
"Aizawa-sensei, you are still injured…" Kirishima said
"My wellbeing is irreverent." Aizawa said then walked to the podium and added, "What's more important that your fight is not over yet."
'Fight?!' Most of them thought that they would be facing another villain attack.
"The U.A. Sports Festival is going to start," Aizawa announced.
"WHY DID YOU SCARE US LIKE THAT?" All of them thought that Aizawa was an expert in scaring them.
"Let's go kick some ass!" Kirishima excitedly said.
"Wait a second." Kaminari stopped him.
"Is it really such a good idea to hold the sports festival so soon after the villains snuck inside?" Kyoka said then added, "Our class representative was severely injured who almost lost his life."
They all looked concerned for Rex, who if not for his incredible healing ability, could have lost his life.
Aizawa noticed that Rex didn't react. "Apparently the administration and authorities think this is a good way to show that threat has been handled and our school is safer than ever. Plus they will be briefing up the securities compared to past years." He said then added, "This sports festival is a huge opportunity for students of U.A which we cannot cancel to show that we are weak."
Aizawa noticed that Rex's eyes gave cold glares for just a second when he mentioned 'administration and authorities'.
'Just as you expect. They would rather show the abilities and skills of students to those villains than damaging the public image. Wait, I could use this to lure AFO to get his attention. I have to make God's eye as soon as possible.' Rex thought then nodded.
He was also excited to show his skills to the world. Why wouldn't he? Anyone who has flashy quirks likes to show themselves in these kinds of events. He had seen these festivals a couple of times before. He always wanted to show some of his athletic skills to the public but he was a nerd in his previous life. Now he has the opportunity so he didn't want to miss it because of some villains.
"Our sports festival is one of the most-watched events in the entire world. In the past, everyone was obsessed with the Olympic Games but then quirks started to appear. The Olympics has been drastically reduced in terms of scale and viewership. Now they only cared for one event, UA sports festival."
"That's right. Top heroes everywhere will be watching." Momo said and clenched her fist looking at Rex, "This is where you get scouted. Humph."
"Hmm, I hope busty type heroines notice me," Rex said and nodded only to get some cold glared especially from Momo.
"And after graduating, many people join pro hero agency as sidekicks," Kaminari said.
"Yeah, but most of them don't even make it to sidekicks. That's where you are heading." Kyoka said and Kaminari received a fatal blow.
"Joining a famous hero agency can indeed grant you greater experience in popularity," Aizawa explained.
Rex knew that the top hero was not all about strength but also popularity. People who were saved by heroes rate those heroes for their work. He thought that permitting using quirks as a hero was a good choice by the government but now they are heavily relying on heroes to save every single sorry ass.
They may call heroes but in reality, they were nothing but civil servants. There was no backup force in case of a nation-level threat since most of the money was invested in heroes. He knew that relying on minorities was fatal and a proper force is needed to end this cat and mouse game.
"That's why the festival matters. If you want to go pro one day then this event could open a path for you. One chance in a year and three chances in a lifetime. No aspiring hero can afford to miss this chance. That means you better not slack off on your training. That's all, the class is dismissed."

Sorry for not updating. Busy with clearing third lostbelt in fgo since next event requires it.
Btw i may skip some events here and end the story before i intended since i will be writing a new fic related to fate, maybe be arthurian legend....
