章 4: Knockoff System
Speechless.
This is the word that could describe my feeling truthfully.
First I suddenly transmigrated to another world without an accident with truck-Kun. Shit, my luck even truck-Kun didn't visit.
Then without any special ability, I had to live pitifully for full13 days.
Then when at last my chance to godhood came, a broken knockoff system. That does not have even an AI. How I think that any AI with the shittest mouth and quirkiest personality was better than no Ai. Ohh! How jealous I am of all those f*uckers that haven an AI in their system.
And here I am with a system in which I can only see the map. Well, at least I don't have to be on guard around the clock. I could just keep an eye on the mini-map.
Right now on the map, I could see at least 25-26 red dots near me. But what bothered me was that there was no distinction, that is I myself was on the second floor, showed with a blue colour dot and most of the roads should be on the ground level, or in the sewers, but all the red dots were also same brightness. This meant that I could see that there was enemy or friendly near me, but on which level it was this I couldn't Distinguish.
Right now all the red dots mere vigorously moving in a zig-zag pattern, It was like they were high on drugs. When I saw these mutants movement from a bird's eye perspective, I figured that uprising was not a normal occurrence, but more of a controlled frenzy in mutants. In my mind, I thought of only one thing boiling frog syndrome.
Boiling frog syndrome was a concept in which, a frog is kept in water with its favourable temperature, and then slowly and steadily the temperature is increased. This leads to the frog to adjust to the state, which let it get boiled without any resistance. Whereas if you will try to throw a frog into the boiling water, it will jump back out to flee.
Similarly here humans were the frog. After losing the Unified front all human resistance had grown smaller and smaller, no rebuilding has been done. All the Farms have become fields in the last three years as no farming was done.
We, humans, have not realised but all our living space was slowly but surely being compressed, but also we are in fighting for the limited resource we have, further decreasing our strength.
Thinking till here I could only sigh in frustration, as what good will it do even if I could do know all this, it's not like I could build an army out of magic, and my golden finger was broken, or at least inaccessible by me.
'Well let's eat something even if this shitty system is of no use, I do have to keep up with my body needs', thought Phil.
As he got up from the bed he waved his hand toward the bag on the bedside in which he kept the leftover food. The room was mainly laid with dust. But Phil had changed the bedsheets, and cleaned a little bit of room, to make it a temporary base.
Just when his fingers reached inside the bag he froze.

"Francis, we are already", said Adam, as he looked at men assembling behind him.
Francis nodded, he was in a good mood, not only he had got a lot of meat yesterday, without losing any of the valuable bullets, but there was a lot of it remaining. And as the leader of stronghold a very large part was reserved for him and kept aside.
Not only that now he was ready for the most refreshing and relaxing game. The hunt was about to begin. Hehe, he will let the target run, playing cat and mouse with him. He always felt his blood rushing to his mind when he played like this. But after becoming the leader there was no opponent, and everyone was careful around him and his fun game had to stop.
Firstly he thought of just letting Adam and one other captain, take their teams to hunt the strangers, after all even if they were 3 or 4 of them, they cannot handle 20 of his brothers. But the last knight he couldn't sleep well. Thinking about playing a mouse and cat game again he felt blood rushing to his head, and so in the morning he decided, that he himself will lead the team.
As a leader, he had to make sure of his protection and prestige, so he thought of taking his team and one another team, with the 3 teams he decided yesterday. So now 40 men were getting ready to depart.
Behind Adam, there were two more men, they were captains of the remaining two team.
"he, look at him, ready to lick Francis ass, I hate this kind of guy", said Peter.
Looking at Peter's dissatisfied face, Marks couldn't help but click his tongue, thinking ' You are just upset, that you didn't get a chance to please the leader, otherwise, you will also wailing your tail obediently'
But that was just in his mind, looking indifferent Mark said," Let it be, its dog's luck, he did bring a lot of meat to the stronghold. If he frustrates the leader, he will die sooner than a flies lifecycle, just watch the show"
Hearing what Mark said, brought a chill in Peter's spine. It was only now he realised that leader was not a good man, but the famous, caustic-soda mad man. A title not given by his opponents, but by his own men, because when newly raised to post of leader, he killed and tortured anyone based on his mood. Even though he had changed in the last 2 years, but who knew when his mad antics will come out.
Thinking about all this, his gaze which contained envy and jealousy, at the start towards Adam changed to pity.

When Phil's hand touched the mutant meat, suddenly a warmth came to his body, all the way from his hand touching the meat to his chest and the brain.
He suddenly felt dizzy.
As he used his other hand to support his body the connection was suddenly cut. The sudden disappearance of heat unstabilised his body making him fall.
As his mind cleared up, Phil could see something new in his vision at the bottom. It extended from Left to Right, covering the whole bottom screen, with at least three fingers wide.
There he could see a lot of options.
