"A rare opportunity you have, Princess. Since you have no reason to be here, you can either decide to go home or...fly away."

She sucked in a deep breath and cradled the vase closer to her chest.

Could she really just leave? Would that change it? Maybe she could really go away. She did have quite a lot of coins in her name. She swallowed a gulp in her throat, the thought was foreign and rebellious. She wasn't sure she could actually do it.

"I...I..." Words failed her.

Maybe she could do it with Kara! They mostly did risky things together like ensuring that she successfully sneaked out of her room to see Lewis even when her parents banned her from doing so.

Her eyebrows knitted together and her voice was quiet, the excitement gone, "I do have a reason to stay here."

"What is it?"

"I..."she paused, then continued anyways, "Lewis. I have Lewis."
