章 77: Chapter 76 - Hands Getting out of Hand

Blinded by an unexplainable rage, Aaron tightened his fists on Malik's neck till suddenly he pushed him out of his grip. Malik's hands went up his neck, glad to be free while he stepped quickly away from Aaron. He focused on his breathing like he was trying to get all the breath he couldn't get before.

After a while, he looked up at Aaron then he saw his shaking hands and he gasped lightly. Aaron heard him and snapped his face to him, his eyes sending warnings that even Malik's swollen eyes could see.

They stayed like that for a while in silence before Aaron sat on the ground exhausted. It wasn't until then that he felt his hand bleeding and aching from Malik's previous struggle to survive.

"You..."

"Don't say it," Aaron said breaking his sentence short. Malik slowly sat next to him.

"It's getting worse," he whispered, his voice laced with concern.

"I have it under control."

"You almost killed me!"
