POV Death Rose
While Death's true body was off on a date with Diantha, an Avatar was left with Leaf, Valerie, Esdeath, Summer and Serena, and after a few early morning matches at the Battle Chateau, Death's avatar gated them to Anistar City.
This, of course, had surprised Serena immensely, but since he told her he could only gate to places he had a general idea of the location of or that he had been too before, Serena let it drop.
She more then let it drop, though. In fact, she decided to take full advantage of this gate ability of his and brought them to various obscure but cool sights around the Kalos region. It was a bit exhausting, but also fun, though halfway through the day he had to start carrying Summer, who'd gotten pretty tired already. She wasn't heavy, though, and he could easily handle that task.
Seeing him doting over little Summer just made Serena even more interested in him. She might have wanted to be a great Pokémon Trainer in the future, but that didn't mean it was her only dream. She eventually wanted children of her own too.
Not right away, of course, as she knew she wasn't mature enough yet to be a good mother, but that did not stop her from wishing to be able to have a bunch of kids of her own. She just wanted to make sure that when the time came she would be a great mother to them.
As a result, Serena was extra enthusiastic about making sure the others, and especially Summer, had the best day possible, because she felt like making sure Summer had fun was the best way to make a good impression upon her 'father'. It didn't hurt either that Summer was really adorable and Serena enjoyed seeing and hearing her happy as well.
After another day all over Kalos, they returned to Lumiose City and split up at their hotel, while planning to meet up the next morning to head to where the champion duel would be held. Serena was, of course, excited to attend it in person.
Death had used Arc of Embodiment and created a tablet earlier in the day and transferred the videos Serena recorded to it, so once they were in their room he gated over to Professor Sycamore's laboratory and shared the videos with him, as well as sharing a copy of his Gyaradiosite Mega Stone. He also copied Diantha's Gardevoirite but kept that to himself for now. He did not want to reveal Arc of Embodiment to the world, after all, and having that Mega Stone already might be suspicious.
After that delivery was made, he met up with Leaf, Valerie, Esdeath, Summer, and Serena, and ate breakfast with them before heading off to meet Sycamore and to head to the battle with him.
------
POV Diantha Carnet
After willing the Kalos Pokémon League, she had taken om and beaten the Elite Four one by one and now it was the day of her final Match against the current Champion, Dallas. Dallas had been Champion of Kalos for the last 45 years, and there was no denying that the strength of his Pokémon was immense, but thanks to Death she was quite confident about winning against him.
While walking towards the battlefield she glanced at her necklace, which now had a keystone in it, and smiled. If possible she wanted to win without relying upon Mega Evolution, but it reassured her that she had the option if it was necessary.
It also reassured her that Death would he there watching her battle, so she felt she had to give her best effort to avoid disappointing him. She had told him about her past the previous evening, and he hadn't been disgusted or said anything cruel to her. As she had believed he would me, he was very kind and supportive of her, and he hadn't made her feel dirty or like a freak.
She felt as light as a feather, as though a huge burden had been lifted off of her shoulders because someone she had finally opened up too completely had accepted her in spite o her past. After all she had endured in her life, she knew how much she should appreciate the good will she received from him. To her it was a priceless and irreplaceable treasure.
In the past she had never even considered sharing a lover with other women, but after meeting his wives and feeling so welcomed by them, any thoughts of feeling jealous were long dispelled. Now, in addition to having a man she loved, she also had many sisters. Oh, it may still take a bit of getting used too, but she believed she would be able to do so.
Taking one last deep breath, she exited into the arena where her battle was to take place in around 15 minutes. She knew that the Champion would arrive punctually, right at the designated time, but she decided to arrive a bit early and see if she could find Death and his allies in the audience, who should have been in Professor Sycamore's private booth..
------
POV Death Rose
They had little trouble getting into the venue for the battle. Some officials chastised Professor Sycamore for bringing so many assistants, But Sycamore countered by pointing out his lack of funding forcing him to rely on volunteer assistants since he lack of funding made it impossible to pay anyone. He even mentioned that his main 'assistant' was his son who worked for free, but that Death and the others had been very useful with his research lately.
In the end, the complaints were shut down and they made their way to the Professors private booth for the battle.
When they entered there was only one other Professor in the booth along with his assistant, and Sycamore introduced his guests to the old man, who it turned out was called Professor Dendron. Professor Dendron did not appear to like Sycamore at all by his body language, but he kept things civil and they all went to take their seats.
Summer, of course, hopped up onto Death's lap, feeling tired from just the trip to get here. Even with his magic helping Summer to adapt to the gravity gradually, it was still difficult for her little body to be too active for too long. She looked adorable as she soon fell asleep with her cheek resting on his shoulder.
"Is she alright?" Sycamore asked with concern, since in his experiences children wouldn't get so tired so fast.
"Summer is fine." Death reassured the professor and then sensed someone looking t him and looked towards the battlefield where Diantha was coming out onto it, and had looked directly his way.
Death smiled at her and thought she looked like a breathtakingly beautiful angel. It was hard to fathom that someone that looks and acts so pure had the trauma in her past that he had heard about the previous night, but that just went to show how fantastic she was an actress.
Even at a distance, Death felt he could see a slight blush come to Diantha's cheeks, but she promptly smiled at him and then started waving to the audience as she approached the trainer's platform.
Once their eyes were no longer locked on each other, Death found himself again thinking about wanting to kill the men that had hurt her. Back on Remnant, he had killed many people, though he'd never felt anything personal when he did so. They were rapists, murderers, slavers, or wealthy people who desire to oppose the peaceful world that he wanted to create in order to retain their own power and influence at the expense of others.
This was the first time he wanted so badly to kill someone because they had hurt someone precious to him. It really struck home the fact that he had changed a lot from the human boy once called Jackson Pryde, who was incapable of killing. Remnant had changed him, and he realized that maybe he had inherited a bit more from the original Death then he realized.. Thinking back to the game, Darksiders 2, Death was willing to move Heaven and Earth all to save his younger brother War.
His instinct to brutally punish the men that had hurt Diantha likely originated from the originals Death. In order to survive on Remnant, Death had instinctively tapped in to the essence of who the original Death was and used that to get stronger. He had no regrets about that, though, since Jackson Pryde had always wanted to be a hero too, but lacked the power and the opportunity.
Using light magic, Death created an avatar without it being visible to anyone around him, then switched placed with it and started flying down towards Diantha's location completely unseen by anyone. He landed near her silently and watched her a few secondsand took in the sight of her.
Feeling as though she was being watched, Diantha turned towards him "Death?" she quietly guessed, even though she couldn't see him.
"No one can see me here, but I'm here for you, Diantha. There is no need to fear." Death whispered in her direction.
------
POV Diantha Carnet
Diantha had instinctively known about his presence because of a comforting warmth that had filled her upon his arrival, but hearing his voice still made her feel even better.
Comforted by the feeling of knowing Death was right behind her, Diantha waited patiently and after a few minutes an announcer and a judge came out and the announcer started talking to the crowd. Diantha was surprised when the Announcer revealed that after this battle, regardless of the outcome, Dallas, the Kalos region champion, would be retiring, so this was his final duel as champion.
Diantha wasn't the only one surprised. Many, who were in the audience and who were watching from home, were shocked.
The announcer then announced that one of the elite four was also choosing to retire at this time, and that their replacements would be Diantha Carnet and Malva Pachira, who had won the Pokémon League the year before Diantha had, and beat the Elite Four, but lost to the Champion. If Diantha won today, she would, as expected, become the Kalos league Champion, but if she lost then the League would arrange a match between Diantha and Malva to determine who would be the champion and who the Elite Four.
Remaining invisible, Death briefly held Diantha's hand to reassure her and a slight tension she had started feeling was immediately washed away.
The old champion came out, said a few words, then wished Diantha luck, but insisted that he was not going to hold back so she had to bring her very best.
Soon an epic battle was underway, with Diantha remembering well the pointers that Death had given her and following them flawlessly but even so she was overwhelmed by the might of the dragon master, and soon had only Gardevoir left after only defeating three of her opponents dragons, though his fourth was pretty exhausted.
"You can use it." Death suggested to her quietly, thinking it was her best shot at making a comeback and winning.
Diantha recalled her defeated Tyrantrum "Gardevoir, your up" she said and called out her final Pokémon
"Diantha, I admit, your skill is impressive, and you've made me have to fight harder then I have in years" the old champion complimented her "Even though your los is inevitable at this point, I hope that you can become a great champion in the future.
"Oh, my loss is not determined yet. I still have my ace Pokémon" Diantha placed a hand over her necklace and used her willpower to reach out to her Gardevoir, and soo they had synced up and Gardevoir started glowing, and soon appeared as Mega Gardevoir.
There was a silent pause as that happened, then a lot of cheering broke out, but Diantha and the champion remained focused on the battle, and Mega Gardevoir took out the weakened Haxorus and then her opponents Hydreigon and Kommo-O. Mega Gardevoir was really made to work for it, but in the end she was victorious and bested the last two dragons as well.
As the announcer called the results, a new champion had risen up in the Kalos Pokémon League, and her name was Diantha Carnet.
Diantha was just relieved that she won since she didn't want to look bad in front of Death.

POV Death Rose
When Diantha won her battle, Death was extremely proud of her, but he kept his cool and waited to appear before her until she was able to leave the arena and she was alone. As soon as she saw him, Diantha rushed up to him and hugged him and kissed his cheek "Thanks."

Death returned the hug and chuckled "I believed in you. He was a lot more powerful then I expected him to be, but I'm glad that you managed to pull it off."
Diantha nodded "I definitely would have lost if I hadn't gotten pointers from you, along with the Keystone. Even with a Mega Stone, I only just barely won,
"Hey, a win is a win, my beautiful Champion." Death insisted and took the opportunity to give her butt a playful little swat "Have more faith in yourself. I may have helped a little bit to push you over the edge to where you could win, but almost all of the work was your own You, Diantha, kept calm throughout the battle and instructed your Pokémon flawlessly to give their all for you."
Diantha blushed and nodded "Even so, I am genuinely grateful. Even if I could have still become Champion by defeating Malva later, I prefer becoming champion in this way."
Death nodded in agreement "If I'm honest then I prefer it in this way as well, so I am proud of you and your Team. You blew the audience away with your performance."
"How long will you be in Kalos?" Diantha asked with worry, not wanting him to leave.
"I'll be returning to Kanto this evening" Death admitted "But you know how easily I can travel from place to place, so I'll visit you often." he reassured her "And I can find you anywhere you do, so you don't have to worry about that, dear. I'll be able to sense if you are ever in danger and appear by your side swiftly."
Death knew that would he said could be considered creepy from someone she didn't want to know how to find her easily, but he was not in that position with her, and he correctly deduced that she would feel more reassured and not weirded out.
Diantha nodded and squeezed him in her arms a bit more "I want to see you as often as possible, so I'll sent you my schedule and keep you updated on it. Oh, and...a week from now..." Diantha blushed and looked down towards his stomach to hide her embarrassment "Come back then so we can finish what I wanted to do with you yesterday, okay?"
Death nodded in understanding "Sure, but I am not leaving this early. Wont you join us for dinner tonight?" he suggested..
Diantha nodded "I'd like that" she agreed cheerfully. Death nodded and picked her up into a bridal carry and stepped through a portal with her, arriving at Lyonesse in a great dining area.
Death had actually arranged for everyone to be here tonight to introduce his wives and children to Leaf and Valerie, but since Diantha had come yesterday, she just happened to meet most of the, except for...
"Father!" a cute blond girl with brilliant blue eyes rushed over, looking to be around 13 years old. It was none other then Salem.
Diantha was surprised to see Salem, since the only daughter she hadn't met the previous day was supposed to be the oldest. "Diantha, this darling is my daughter Salem." Death introduced her while Diantha was seeming a bit embarrassed, but at the same time not resisting the bridal carry.
There were many others around, and not just his lovers and children. In addition to them, there was his crew, which included his Remnants Summer Rose, Taiyang Xiao Long, , Willow Schnee, Nebula Violette, Cinder Fall, Emerald Sustrai, Pietro Polendina and Maria Calivera. From Remnant Prime, Salem had also brought over Team RWBY who were alongside Remnant Prime's Neo. Death knew that Neo had tried to make amends with Team RWBY of her world, and it seemed to have worked out for her, though they still seemed to be keeping their distance from his Remnant's Cinder.
Death chuckled and finally set Diantha back down on her feet. "I should take care of this." he declared "Excuse me a moment." he walked over to Cinder and Emerald and grasped their hands "Ladies. Lets go greet our visitors."
Cinder and Emerald both blushed but did not resist following Death over to Prime RWBY "Ladies, greetings." Death greeted them "I know that the Cinder of your world was evil, but ours is a total sweetheart, you don't have to be so cautious of her."
Cinder was even more embarrassed when Death said that about her "I am?"
"Of course you are." Death chuckled to Cinder "And if you actually would admit your true feelings you'd already be one of my wives by now, but every time I give you an opportunity to admit it, you don't. It's quite cute how oblivious you seem."
"You knew?" Cinder asked with shock. "Why didn't you say sooner?" she pouted.
"Well, I didn't want to push you into it since you and Emerald kept trying to hide it" Death insisted "I only am confronting you about it now to stress the point that you are not the same person as their world's version of you. You are capable of love and compassion, Cinder."
Death looked at Prime RWBY and saw that they were much more relaxed "I wonder about your feelings, though. I mean, when you are training in my dimension, you four do stare at me a lot. Even saw Weiss here drool a bit once."
All four of them blushed, but Prime Weiss blushed the brightest "I'm sure I didn't drool"
"You did, but I don't mind it. After all, I am already married to my worlds version of you four, so I can't help feeling affection towards you when I see you." Death insisted.
------
POV Diantha Carnet
After Death wandered off to deal with another matter, Diantha looked at Salem "It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Likewise." Salem said cheerfully "You're really pretty."
"Yeah, I've noticed all of the women here are beautiful, even then ones Death isn't married too." Diantha noted.
"Yeah, that's most women in Remnant, though. Very few are what you would consider unattractive there." Salem insisted.
Another portal appeared and the first to come through it was little Summer, followed by another Death, then Leaf, Valerie, and Serena.
"Wow, is this a castle?" Serena asked in shock. The question wasn't too outlandish considering the size of the Banquet hall they were in. While many people were gathered around, the place still had room for several hundred more, making it feel a bit empty.
"Welcome to Lyonesse" The avatar of Death said to Serena and chuckled "It's not a castle, but it is even more impressive." he used Arc of Embodiment to make a transparent three-dimensional schematic for the City-ship to appear in the air.
"Is this an artificial island like the one the Aether Institute made?" Diantha asked with curiosity.
"Well, it is easy to think that by looking at these schematics, but it's actually a spaceship capably of intergalactic travel. Not nearly as fast as Atlantis, admittedly, since miniaturization of the Wormhole drive has not been possible yet, though it's still extremely fast." Death's avatar insisted.
Over by the real Death, Prime Ruby had spotted the schematics and burst into Rose petals and rapidly moved to the side of Death's Avatar, looking over the transparent schematics excitedly.
Valerie, Serena, and Leaf were shocked be seeing what Prime Ruby had done, though Diantha wasn't since she had seen the other Ruby do the same thing the previous day, so it wasn't anything new to her, at least not the same way that it was for Valerie, Leaf and Serena.
Death walked back over holding Cinder and Emerald close to him as he did so with an arm around each of their waists "Leaf, Valerie, Serena, thanks again for agreeing to come tonight." He smiled at each of them "Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak!" as he said this password, all of the food his avatars had prepared to appear on each of the tables when those words were spoken appeared, and there was certainly a lot of it, enough for hundreds of people, which meant that the leftovers would be taken to Remnant for the various orphanages there, which was something he did often anyway "You wanted to meet my family and friends, and now you will, and you'll get a feast while you are here as well."

POV Death Rose
While everyone was eating, Death looked at the skill tree that he had obtained by helping Diantha to beat the previous Kalos Champion.
Herald of Pride (Passive) Dragon-type Pokémon you raise level up 25% faster and are 10% stronger then others of their kind at their level.
Seeing this description, Death realized that maybe this was the secret of the previous champions strength. He then decided to spend a skill point to buy the first skill on the small skill tree that looked like a straight line.
Noblesse Oblige - Dragon-type Pokémon you raise can gain the ability Regal Challenge.
Regal Challenge : When using a status attack, if the attack hits the targets speed is lowered. If it misses, the users speed and attack are increased.
That first unlock verified it, since when he scanned the previous Champion's Pokémon, they all had this ability. He then unlocked the second skill with a skill point.
Channel the Dragon's Spirit - When using a melee attack, the user can channel Dragon Energy to bestow the attack with he Dragon element.
This surprised Death, but he thought it might be a bit useful in the future. He used a skill point to unlock the third skill.
Bare the Dragon's Claws - While wielding weapons, the user can replicate the Pokémon moves Dragon Claw and Dragon Tail. These moves, if used by Pokemon raised by the Herald are approximately 25% stronger then normal.
This certainly was a promising ability, and it wasn't only for Dragon-type Pokémon now. It applied only to two specific moves, but they could be used by any Pokémon. he spent three more skill points to unlock the last three skills.
Call of Dragon's Rage - While wielding weapons, the user can replicate the Pokémon moves Dragon Rush and Outrage. These moves, if used by Pokemon raised by the Herald are approximately 25% stronger then normal.
Rouse the Dragon's Blood - After suffering a critical hit, Dragon-type Pokémon belonging to the Herald of Pride become immune to all status conditions and have all negative stat changes reset to neutral.
Sovereignty - A partner Dragon-Type Pokémon that activates Rouse the Dragon's Blood removes any status effects it is currently suffering from.
After reading the description of the last three skills he figured that he'd need to acquire a few Dragon Pokémon in the future. He could also finally understand why people sometimes had single type specialties in this world. He could get this because of his system, but he figured that it was only possible for the previous champion because he only raised Dragons.
According to what Death recalled from the series, after leaving the Lighthouse, it took Ash, Misty and Brock two weeks to reach Vermilion City because they got lost again. If they hadn't gotten lost, it should have taken only three days, which was of course why this vacation had been for three days. He could bring the Valerie, Leaf, and Esdeath to Vermilion City directly after everything was settled here in Kalos.
Next chapter will probably be next Sunday. I need to re-read my Draco Malfoy story to be able to resume working on that too. Once I do, I'll try to do at least two chapters per week for each of them.
