A few days later, Xiang Wai and Cloe did show up at Raelle's door to take her out to celebrate their big news. It happened to be Shui Xian who first met the two of them and looked them up and down before saying, "Welcome, sister-in-law and pseudo-sister-in-law."

"Why am I pseudo-sister-in-law?" asked Cloe to him.

"Because I said so," he replied with a smile.

"Was that supposed to be funny?"

"Did it make you laugh?" he asked.

"No."

"Then clearly, it wasn't a joke." Shui Xian went to stand below the stairs and called out, "Baby, your guests are here."

"Coming!" responded Raelle from above.

"You don't look very happy seeing us here," Xiang Wai pointed out.

"Am I supposed to be happy seeing you guys coming here to take my wife away?" responded Shui Xian.
