章 119: The flame giant

"LANA!" Quahog rushes towards the explosion which must not be far from the position where he thought Lana was. People are running around as the fire giant destroys everything in its path.
When I arrive on the scene the president of MACUSA holds his daughter in his arms. She doesn't look burnt, and her chest moves to the rhythm of her breathing. The shock must have made her unconscious. Several bodyguards are near them trying to convince the president to evacuate. I was about to help them when I heard the voice of a very angry old man.
"Who dares to disturb my marriage?" Ephthalius is red with rage. He looks around, spotting the wizards who haven't run away yet. "I'm fine mom. Grandma is playing camp nurses and she's having a blast. And dad has been requisitioned by the president to help deal with the situation."
"Okay, do we know more about the origin of the attack?"
"Not that I know of, I was too busy erasing the neighbors' memories to deal with this. I don't think it's related to Voldemort or we would have seen the Dark Mark in the sky. It was most likely aimed at either Ephthalius or one of the guests. "
"I don't like it, Sean. We left England to be safe and even here we can't live in peace." If she really wants to live in peace, Mystic Falls might not be the best town.
