Vulcan had a grim look on his face. "We need to get prepared as soon as possible."

Everyone else nodded, their expressions equally solemn. 

Atlantis was connected to Europa, and Europa was connected to Mars. That meant that as long as the Kryptonians discover Europa, they would find out about Mars sooner or later, and then Earth. 

For a race to become stellar lifeforms upon adulthood, and those with good talents galactic lifeforms, the Kryptonians were just too powerful and no one had the confidence to hold against them.
