"Bingo," Gin sheepishly smiled as he clapped his hands. "I'm impressed, you can tell."
I may look dumb or act dumb from time to time. But it would help if he didn't underestimate me. I don't trust just whoever. Even if they know one or two secrets of mine.
"Don't take me as a fool," I said. Then Gin snapped his fingers, and the fake silver flower disappeared in thin air. "I guess this is why you are the greatest mage in the tower. You can transform a whole library into this."
"As you said. Don't take me as a fool," repeated Gin which made my chest feel jumpy.
"So, what is the purpose of you testing me?" I finally asked him as I've been dying to know.
"Reasons."
His response clicked my head. It pissed me off that he wouldn't tell me anything, from this to even the dark spirits, which I haven't asked. I decided to not think about the test earlier and just let him be.
