章 51: A Kiss for a Fool

They both sat in silence after that question. He already knew the answer, it was the only word that kept popping up in his head as he tried to think. He was sure of it with every vein in his body. When he tried to say it out, it came out as simply a breath of air.

He didn't know if his answer would affect Tiara, or not affect her at all. Both things would surely mess him up. And so it was hard to actually say what he wanted. He clenched his fists to try to calm his nerves down.

'Just say it, you dumbass. Everything else can come later.' He told himself.

"What are you hesitating for?" the girl asked meekly at the same time. He knew that she was very fragile now and anything he said could, in fact, affect her.

'She's just a kid…' he found himself thinking and he slapped himself internally. 'No, she is someone who can think like no one else. Otherwise why would she choose to save the monster rather than kill it right away like anyone else would?'
