章 42: Chapter 42: Alex and the Condemned Priest Part 2

With space locked, Alex hastily searched for any open space node he could find while talking to the priest. 

Finding three behind him, Alex wasn't thrilled. Their positioning wasn't something that would sufficiently improve his odds in this fight. However, with the priest, anything was better than nothing.

The priest looked at Alex as if he was looking at a fool. He would have been cautious if he were to face the royal mages, but confronting Alex, whose mana core was only at level one, he had nothing to lose.

Ignoring Alex's provocation, The priest took out a barrier talisman and cast a barrier around laurel. He wasn't sure if the speck of darkness he felt came from Alex's equipment or whether Luke was lurking in the shadows. 

Sucking in a sharp breath of air, the priest made a hand gesture, motioning Alex: 'come on and Bring it!'
