章 45: Ch.45 Dinner and a Show
By evening, they had done all the test they could do, and the flying car was humming like a dream.
Although Kris and Felicity know nothing about magic and how the car was able to fly... for now... But, due to the extended test and scans they've performed in God's dimension.
They were able to disassemble and reassemble the sweet ride in no time. They only had to make sure that the carved runes match every part and make sure their placement is 100% the same as when they dismantled it.
Looking at the time, and feeling hungry; Kris invited all the newbies now in their new outfit, for dinner.
Kris and the rest kitted themselves for a party, and went to the inn where Jonathan and Evelyn stayed.
Which was just a couple of blocks away, which was still in range of O'Connell and Zheng's group.
Upon entering, Kris located Jonathan and approach him and said, "My friend, I can't help but notice you are a man of refine and would like you to join my group in a lovely dinner, you may bring anyone you wish with you."
Jonathan looked at Kris's face, now that he wasn't wearing the HUD, he looked like a plesant chap.
When he saw the hesitation in Jonathan's face, He quickly added, " Oh! pardon my rudeness, I get carried away when I try to make new friends."
"My name is Kris Wu but, friends call me Kris and this lovely lady by my side is my paramore, Felicity Smoak."(A/N: He's trying to act like Oberyn Martell.)He then gave Jonathan a handshake and a pat on the back.
"I have ordered us the best dishes and expensive wine I hope you join us."
Hearing this Jonathan smiled and said, "I accept, let me get my sister you'll like her. She's smart."
Jonathan then run off hailing his sister, "Evie!... , Evie!?..."
[Scene Break]
When Jonathan came back he brought and Introduced Evelyn to Kris, and the rest. While Kris did the same, they made some small talk as they ate.
When everyone was done eating, and was enjoying there wine Kris said, " Have I ever mentioned that Zhuiyu here has a wonderful voice, Zhuiyu, dear, could I make a request, for you to sing us a song?"
"I'd like to hear the one from the genie in that story with a cave of gold."
Feeling like indulging Kris since, he's been so nice to her ever since, they met, she nodded, " Sure ." and stood up to talk to the band in the stage.
"You mentioned before that you were on your way to look for the lost city of the dead, and you got your self a guide!?" Jonathan nodded while sipping some more wine.
"Now, Jonathan, I don't think you understand what, you got here. So, why don't you ruminate..."
"Whilst, I illuminate the possibilities." said Kris then...
Zhuiyu started singing so, he cut the conversation and turn his head to face the stage.
[Scene Break]
After the song Kris continued, "Jonathan you know that your my friend now, and I help my friends."
"Yeah, your a great friend." said Jonathan.
"And that's why I'm going with you!" said Kris excitedly
Jonathan almost spit the wine in his mouth, and did a take back to Kris. Then said, "But, It will be dangerous!!"
"My middle name is Danger, and I live for the thrill of adventure!"
"If your worried of the loot, don't be I'm rich. I have no need for gold or old tomes, I only want to share an adventure with my friend!"
Evelyn was about to protest but when she heard Kris was not interested on anything else she went back to her conversation with Felicity.
At the end of the night they agreed to meet up at the port in addition Kris offer to pay for everything during the trip.
[Scene Break]
The next day Kris was back in his Jedi costume, He was there earlier than Jonathan, and Evelyn with a big hug he greeted them, along with Felicity.
Zheng was shocked When he met Kris upon boarding the boat. Kris was chating with some americans, that was on their way to Hamunaptra as well.
But, When Zheng looked around for the newbies with that was supposed to be with Kris.
They were no where in sight, Zheng Only found Felicity talking to Evelyn.
When Kris saw Zheng Kris only raised a glass of ice tea at him with a nod. Zheng also nod, and left to find his accommodations.
[Flash Back]
When Kris and his party got back to their rented place Kris told everyone of his plan for the trip.
"On this trip only I and Felicity will be joining Jonathan in the boat ride. I want you 3 to follow us on the Flying Car whilst invisible."
"Don't worry Felicity will be setting it up, and a program will be there to control the car encase something happens."
"You'll be safe there. Remember if you die we lose point so, my priority is to not lose points."
[Flash Back End]
Felicity came towards Kris, and Whispered in his ear, "How do you think it will go when you, and him go in a fight; now that you had the first stage of the genetic constraint unlocked?"
"You're smile tells me you already know but, he has already unlocked his 2nd state when he fought with Yinkong in the previous movie. It all comes down to talent in the end."
"How about you how does your body feel?" ask Kris in a worried tone
"I feel fine, the T-virus didn't just unlock the 1st stage but, also gave me technopathy so, it still feels weird at times. Poor newbies though, telling them there's a program to control the car." she smiled softly
"I can't trust them with our secrets yet, for now their just potential members but, I don't have high hopes for this bunch other than Heng and we both know he's a hopeless coward."
"The other two's skill set won't work with the synergy of the group." said Kris while adding, "We could only observe them for now, We can't afford to miss something."
