"Reva!!!" Damien felt his heart stop as he saw that white crack suddenly manifesting in thin air and swallowing Reva into it.

His hands were trembling as he stared at the endless ocean before him while the crack was nowhere to be seen.

Not just a few seconds ago, he was having a good time with her right after going through a lot. And now, this suddenly happened out of nowhere for no reason or for a reason he couldn't make sense of.

He quickly thought to use his forbidden Shadows of Time ability to reverse time and prevent Reva from getting close to the barrier. But then he decided to first touch the barrier and see for himself before recklessly sacrificing too much of his soul essence.
