From the moment that Trinity had agreed to marry me I had been ecstatic. I felt like everything was right in the world, that there was nothing that could go wrong. Noah seemed upset at first when he was told that we had news. He guessed, incorrectly, that Trinity was already pregnant since Nikki was pregnant. He didn't think there was any other news worth getting happy over.

After seeing Trinity and Vincent off, I asked Noah if he would stick around for a bit so we could talk. He joined me in the kitchen while I looked for something to eat. I had intended to take mom and Trinity out to dinner, so I gave Abigail the day off. I didn't care, I could fend for myself. And I wasn't going to let Noah's surly attitude get to me.

"So, you finally redeemed yourself, huh?" Noah asked as soon as we were alone in the kitchen. "I never thought I would see the day when she trusted you again, after the shit you pulled."
