The moment of truth has come as the moon slowly turning into full and luminous. The maidservant gathers inside of my room according to the King's order.

"How many hours left before the moon becomes whole and full?" I ask in despair as I am losing enough time to escape.

Would I accept the King's proposal– to be the Vampire Queen and or to be the mother of the Vampire Lord's child?

I am confused and start to panic. "Three hours, Your Honour. But Your Highness wants you to–"
