We sat there in silence for a few minutes until I heard my mother and father walking towards us.

"Here you go, Mu Kang. A pack of Oreo. Hi, Sheng Lia. It's good to see you again," My father smiled.

"Hello, Mr Mu, Mrs Mu. It's good to see you too," Sheng said.

"Aiyoo, just call us Uncle Mu and Auntie Wen, sweetie," My mother spoke.

"Would you like to join us?" Sheng Lia asked.

Oh my God, I couldn't believe she just invited my parents to sit down. I looked at them and gave them the look.

"As much as we'd love to, Sheng Lia but your Auntie Wen and I are going back to the city now," My father said. 

Fuh. Great. I smiled.

"You're leaving?" I asked.

"Yes. We thought it was best to head back tonight. Mu Kang, don't forget to lock up the house when you leave in the morning. And I can expect you in the office around 9 o'clock in the morning?" he asked.
