章 46: Chapter 46
Dez was pissed but he understood his duty to get King Titus to safety before he could get Alora outta here. From his understanding Alora was far more important than anyone in this realm. He passed off King Titus to a couple of guards and disappeared into the shadows. He hurried back in case the others ran into trouble, he knows he's not invincible but he knows he's very powerful. When he reached the castle he stopped dead in his tracks when he saw another Black Dragon attacking the castle. He hasn't seen a Black Dragon other than his sister in a very long time. After he shook the shock off, he continued to move closer to the castle when he saw Max running full force into the Black Dragon and pushed him back to the forest. Dez always liked the way Max fought, he always fought his best and all of his might. He instantly went inside the castle to check on and get Alora out of there as soon as possible. When he reached the entrance of the castle he started to panic when he saw the condition of the castle. He raced to find Alora and Sorsha as he searched through the rubble. He was looking frantically when he saw Lynia and Sorsha standing over Alora and Suri, trying to get them free. He quickly ran over and through the boulder off of her leg, " Are you ok? Can you walk?" She shook her head up and down and looked over to Suri and then back at Dez. He already understood what she wanted, he walked around to her and lifted the boulder off of Suri and helped her up, " We need to go no…..", he was interrupted by a howling growl coming from outside. "Max", he whispered. He turned and looked at Alora and she saw the struggle within his eyes and walked up to him, "Dont worry about me, go and do your duty. I have plenty of protection until you're finished", as she smiled. Dez was conflicted, he knew he had to go and help Max, but he wanted to stay here and protect his Other Half. He turned to Suri and Lee, " Protect her with your life, don't let any danger come to her. You will know my signal for us to leave, stay here till then". He faced Alora and kissed her on her forehead, " I will be back for you. Wait for me here". As he turned toward the door, his eyes started glowing and the shadows began to circle him at an increasing speed. Once he was outside and clear of doing further damage to the castle, he turned into his dragon. Alora ran to the entrance, she had to see his dragon, she was very curious about how it looked. WHen she saw his dragon, her heart skipped a beat as it felt like the room was standing still. His Black Dragon was so black at night, his scales looked like shiny black diamonds all over his body, he was so beautiful in Aloras eyes. Her heart skipped a beat as she watched him walk away from the castle.
Max and Jackson was finishing up their side of the castle in their human form, dead bodies was scrolled all around them. Jackson was ordering the soldiers to put the dead bodies in a pile so they can be burned. Max was making sure they all was dead until he heard a loud banging sound accompanied by the ground shaking. Jackson heard and felt it and he and Max ran to the side of the castle where the commotion was coming from when they saw a Black Dragon clawing its way into the castle. Max knew that the girls were in the castle, he grabbed his canteen of water and threw it on the ground. The water turned into ice and Max jumped on it and slide toward the Black Dragon as he started to turn into his dragon. Jackson started running toward the Black Dragon too as his body combust into flames; he was turning into his dragon. Max was in his dragon form when he reached the Black Dragon, he was still running at full force when he hit him so hard, he flew from the castle to the forest. Max let out a loud, possessive roar as he stood in front of the castle, protecting it. The Black Dragon shook off the hit Max gave him as he turned around baring his teeth, snarling at Max. Jackson caught up with Max and stood on the side of Max, ready to attack the Black Dragon. The Black Dragon let out a roar and started to charge toward Max and Jackson, he was so pissed. These fucking dragons are interferring with my duties, I guess I will have to quickly take them out, dam Lucis, he thought as he charged them. Jackson was the first to move and started to charge at the Black Dragon, but the Black Dragon was more focused on Max. As Jackson kept charging he began to slow down, he looked surprised as his body slowed down and suddenly stopped. The Black Dragon smirked and charged right passed Jackson, and cut his eye toward him, he would come back for him, right now he wanted Max. Max hardened his scales and shot a couple of white orbs at the Black Dragon, but it bounced right off of his scales. He continued to charge Max when he stretched his claw out and slashed through Maxs hardened scales, Max let out a loud growl loud enough that it was heard around the land. Max swung his tail and hit him far enough away to recollect hisself then he tried to stand back up. He started to become dizzy and fell back down, the Black Dragon smirked when he seen this he knew it was working. When Max fell back to the ground the Black Dragon turned to Jackson and slowly started walking toward him as if he already won. When he got closer to Jackson, he felt a cold chill in the air and that's when he felt the power coming toward him. He never felt anything like it, he was almost scared but pulled himself together and started looking for the source of the power. He snarled as he began to walk over to Jackson again when it felt like every step he took, it felt like he was walking in quicksand. He tried to look around again for the source but found that he couldn't move his body at all. A black mist engulfed Max's unconscious body, as his body began to disappear, a giant figure began to form in front of the Black Dragon. This was the first time in the Black Dragons life that he was actually scared of anyone or anything and it pissed him off. He struggled until he broke free from Dez's grasp and moved away to see what the hell was he going to fight. To his surprise he saw another Black Dragon standing in front of him, but he just wasn't a Black Dragon he was a Shadow Dragon and much stronger than him. King Morton lied to him, he is not the last Shadow Dragon and Lucis betrayed his trust. When he get back to the castle he will have a talk with them. He stared at Dez as he stood there pissed off, the shadows coursing all around his body, The only thing visible was his eyes and teeth which were white as snow. Dez was a little surprised himself when he saw the Black Dragon, he thought he was the last one. He looked at him and knew he was a new dragon, he didn't want to kill him, just teach him a humiliating lesson. On the other hand the Black Dragon knew he couldn't kill Dez, but he figured he would wound him enough for the others to take care of him. He stepped toward Dez and smirked as he tried to trick Dez, but Dez wasnt as stupid or weak as he thought. The Black Dragon stared at Dez and slowly started walking toward him with a triumph look on his face. Dez wanted to laugh at how arrogant and stupid this kid was, but he contiuned to play along with him. Dez pretended that he couldn't move, his eyes followed the Black Dragons every move as he stepped closer. He saw his claws turn black and the stupid grin on his face as he tried to claw at Dez. Dez was too fast and sidestepped him, then swiped him with his tail with such force, he slid across the field. The Black Dragon had a very shocked look on his face, no one has ever broken free from his grasp before. Dez was done playing with him and his eyes started glowing and the shadows began to circle his body and then they just stopped. The Black Dragon began to become worried and started backing away, getting ready for his escape. He knew Dez was too powerful for him right now, he will look for him after he became stronger. As the shadows began to engulf the Black Dragon, Dez's shadows formed a cage and trapped him. Dez smirked when he saw the look of surprise and panic on the Black Dragons face while he tried to escape the shadow made cell. All of a sudden little spikes began to form on the cage and imbedded into the Black Dragons scales, which he thought was impossible to penetrate. Blood was oozing out of the Black Dragon as he continued to fight to release himself, this was the first time in his life that he has been captured and hurt this bad. The shadow cage began to tighten around him, the spikes embedded deeper into him; he let out a deafening scream. Just as Dez had started to enjoy himself teaching this kid a lesson, he looked past the Black Dragon and saw more creatures running toward where they were, but Marina and Tristan were trying to hold them off. The Black Dragon smirked and thought to himself about thanking Lucis for sending reinforcements. Dez stared at him as the spikes dug deeper into the Black Dragons body. Dez was tired of this shit with them trying to take his other half and if he has too everyone in this realm will feel his wrath. Dez growled and started walking toward him baring his teeth as they started to turn black, Dez figured he wouldn't kill him but he would wound his ass enough for them to get away. When Dez got close enough to the Black Dragon, lightning struck in front of him and stopped him in his tracks. He looked up angrily and saw Tristan hoovering in the air growling at him, he knew what Tristan wanted him to do, but he wanted to finish with this Black Dragon too. Tristan shot another bolt of lightning at him and started to descend to the ground. Dez slowly retreated his steps and the shadows started covering him as he disappeared to go retrieve Alora and everyone else. As Dez started to disappear his cage around the Black Dragon began to disappear too and he started to move slowly, he stared at Dez as he disappeared into the night. He will get his revenge on that bastard! Even if it cost him his life, he will get his revenge.
Dez materialized right by the castle where Alora and everyone were. Lynia, Tatiyana, and Razel were holding the army back but there were too many. The more they killed the more came, if Aubree would've gotten hurt she could have helped too. When Lynia saw Dez she looked at Tatiyana and yelled, " Mother its time!". Tatiyana ran over to where Alora and Sorsha were and grabbed both of them. She ran to the far corner of the room and opened a portal and pushed them through it before they could object. When they went through the portal, they came out on the outside of the castle where Dez was waiting on them in his dragon form. Alora looked at him and fell in love with his dragon instantly, when she saw him again. He was just so magnificent, she could've stayed there and stared at him for hours. She was interrupted by both Sorsha when she cleared her throat and Dez when he let out a little growl. When she finally came to her senses, Sorsha was already climbing up Dez's wing and onto his back, which made her a little jealous. Dez felt her jealousy so when she stepped onto his wing, he lifted his wing just enough for her to wrap her arms around his neck and hold him. He felt her happiness and smirked when she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed it. Suri and Lynia were fighting there way to Dez and hopped on him too, they were not letting Alora go without any of them. After everyone was seated on Dez, he got in the position for him to take flight and flapped his wings. Alora was so scared she held on to his thick black mane and closed her eyes as she screamed. Lynia positioned herself close enough to her daughter that she could comfort her whenever she needed to. Once they were in the air, they saw the horrific scene in front of them. There were dead bodies laid all across the field, both friends and enemies. King Mortons army began to advance forward once reinforcements came. Alora looked down and saw that Black Dragon staring at Dez with an evil look on his face. The Black Dragon knew that the only way to Dez is to get Alora and make Dez come to him. The Black Dragon turned into his human form and started throwing little daggers made out of shadows at Alora not Dez. Dez was flying higher and higher, dipping and dodging the daggers, they were coming at her faster and faster. Lynia was about to react when lightning hit the Black Dragon and knocked him back a few feet. Tristan bared his teeth at Dez and growled at him with such authority Dez and Alora almost submitted. Dez started to fly away and the Black Dragon wasn't going to let him leave that easy and tried to lasso a shadow rope on one of Des Talons. Dez growled and looked at it as he slowly started to pull away. The Shadow Dragon threw 3 more shadow ropes trying to stop Dez from escaping. Dez couldn't fight the Shadow Dragon like he wanted to, but he had to do something, they couldn't get her. Dez shot Black Fire at the shadow ropes, but the more he destroyed, the more came to attack him. One of the ropes even almost grabbed Alora when a Lightning bolt struck the Black Dragon. He shook off Tristan's attack and still concentrated on Dez, but Tristan shot a barrage of lightning bolts at the Black Dragon. When Dez finally got free he flew and met with the other dragons hovering, waiting on them. When Alora looked down using her vampire sight, she saw the Black Dragon in his human for staring at them with nothing but hatred in his eyes. His look was so intense, it made her gasp and shook her soul to the core. As they were getting away, the Black Dragon started with the shadow ropes again, this time targeting Alora, he knew if he captured her, Dez would come to get her. Now Dez shadows started fighting with the Black Dragons shadows, Alora looked panicked while Lynia was trying spells to help. All of a sudden everyone felt a stickiness in the air, it was getting hard to breathe and felt like they were going to pass out. Lynia realized what was happening and panicked as she searched the sky and saw him. "Dez Wait! Please he can't do this, he will drain himself!", Lynia pleaded with Dez. Alora heard what her mother just said and searched for her father and that's when she saw him in the air, his whole body was glowing as he flapped his wings back and forth. The sky started to get bright, even with the cloud covering. "Tristan stop! Dont do this!", Lynia screamed. With each flap of his wings, you could see lightning building up all around his whole body. Then a lightning bolt struck Tristan's bodys, in the middle of the sky as it lit up like daytime. After Tristan absorbed the lightening bolt his body was glowing bright, everyone on the ground got distracted by his beauty. He looked down and saw that it was mostly enemies, he opened his mouth and lightning shot out, at the same time it came out of his tail and wings. Lightning struck him three times to power him up, and it coarsed all through his body. When the lightning first hit the ground everyone on the ground started to shake uncontrollably. When the last hit, everyone fell to the ground, some passed out, some was dead. Dez started to fly away when he heard a shrill he will never forget. Lyniia screamed as she saw Tristan's unconscious body fall from the sky to the ground. When Lynia and Alora looked anxiously for his body, but saw nothing but dust and lightening fragments left over from his attack. Lynia felt their bond break, she couldn't take the pain and passed out. Alora just stared at the ground in shock, Dez tried to fly away as fast as he could but she already saw what happened. She glazed over to the Black Dragon who was passed out on the ground and her eyes started to glow white. When Sorsha saw she scooted over to Alora and tried to calm her down. As she looked at the Black Dragon she vowed that she will never be scared of anything again, She will learn her gifts and kill everyone of those creatures that attacked her and caused her fathers death. Tears began to fall from her eyes as she looked at her mothers unconscious body and began to rub her stomach. She promised right then and there that she will protect them with her life.
