章 35: Chapter 35
Dez was informing King Titus what happened when Max knocked on the door. Tristan was standing there quietly, but you could tell he was becoming angry with every word Dez said. Dez continued to tell them then he looked at King Titus, " There is a spy here, that's how they know Alora and Sorsha would be in town today". King Titus had a very worried look on his face, " We're going to have to find the spy quickly". He then looked at Malik, " This is going to be your job, you have been in this castle for a while and you should be able to sniff out the spy". Malik nodded, he already had his suspicions about the spy. He then looked at Tristan and Dez, " We will discuss further actions after the party. We need to send a message to Jackson to prepare everything. We also need Cletus here too, we need the bond broken between Alora and Sorsha as soon as possible. Now, let's go enjoy ourselves just for the night", as he smiled. Everyone started to leave when Tristan stopped Dez, " Dez thank you for protecting Alora tonight. I know she's your Other Half but she is my daughter and I still worry and want to protect her too". Dez was a little shocked, he would have protected her no matter what. Even if she came back and he didn't, he still would have done it, " No need to thank me sir, I told you once before, I would protect her with my life....and I mean it". Just as Tristan and Dez were about to leave, a soldier came running in, " Sir Tristan", as he bowed. Tristan looked at him, " Speak". "There are two fairies at the main gate, they claim they know Alora and Sorsha. They also claim that they helped them out in town today and have information". Tristan glanced over to Dez, "I guess Suri and Lee came to pay us a visit". They both started walking toward the main gate, both Tristan and Dez were wondering the same thing, What the hell do they want. Tristan remembers both Suri and Lee when they were at the castle but he hasn't seen them in about five years. When they reached the gate, they saw them standing there with a guy on the ground bound and gagged. When they walked up, Suri smiled and looked at them both, " Tristan it's good to see you, it's been a while. And Dez nice to see you again. We brought you one of the men that tried to ambush us at the tavern. I also wanted to see Alora is and Sorsha alright". Tristan shifted his gaze from Suri and Lee trying to figure out if they meant no harm. He has to be extremely careful about who he trusts around his daughter. He turned to Dez, " What do you think? You met them in town, I haven't seen them in years", he whispered. Dez felt honored that he asked his opinion regarding Aloras safety, " They did help us out, I guess they came with good intentions". Tristan looked at the guard at the gate, " Take him to the cells and make sure he's in good condition to be tortured". He then looked at Suri and Lee, " Aloras birthday party has already begun, you two should go get changed and join us. We can talk about everything after the party". Suri smiled and looked at Lee, "Come on Lee, let's go party". They all walked into the castle, Dez really hoped that he wouldn't regret his decision on letting them in, but then again he isn't worried, he can take them down easily.
Aloras P.o.v
I was still confused on how I woke up in my bed, what actually happened after I lost consciousness. I was in the bathroom getting dressed and washed my face, it looked a little flushed. How am I supposed to pretend that everything is ok after what just happened? I looked at myself in the mirror and the dress made me look just like a princess. I put on the tiara and gloves and walked out the bathroom where mother and Aubree were waiting. Mother looked at me and a big smile went across her face, " You look so beautiful Alora, that dress really suits you'". "Yes Alora you look very lovely", Aubree added. " Thank you both". I looked over to my mother, " Mother, Do I have to really do this? I'm still shaken up about the event that happened." You're going to have to act like a mature vampire tonight Alora", as she smiled and grabbed my hand to begin to walk. Aubree followed us trying to make small talk as we made our way to the ballroom. Once we reached the ballroom, I could see that some guests had arrived. Dez, father, Malik, and grandfather were over in the corner talking, While Max Sorsha and Cletus were standing on the opposite side talking. Max and Lord Cletus were in a conversation, Sorsha was looking down and it was like she felt me staring because she looked up and we locked stares. I started walking over to her and my mother grabbed my hand, " Where are you going? You have to meet some important guests". "Ok mother, let me have a quick word with Sorsha", as I snatched my arm and walked away. When I reached Sorsha I pulled her to the side, " Do you remember anything after we were put in the carriage? How did we get back here?", as I whispered. She shook her head, " No, I woke up in my bed and Max wont tell me anything until after the party", as she whispered. Hmmm.. Something strange is going on here. " Hi Alora, nice to see you made it back in one piece", as she walked up to me smiling. "Suri!! You're safe", as I hugged her. "Sure Im safe, it will take more than a group of lowly vampires to take me out", as she handed me a glass of wine. Im so glad shes ok, I would be be hurt if her and Lee got hurt because of us. I looked around the room, " Wheres Lee? Did he get hurt?". She took a sip of her wine, " No he's fine, he is upstairs getting changed. You know he wants to look good for you". I giggled at her comment because no matter how good he look, he will never look better than Dez. " Stop playing around Suri, you know Lee is like a brother to me". I have to keep saying that so that both Suri and Lee would know that I never have had feelings for Lee. Even if I didn't have Dez, I wouldn't be with Lee, I would wait on my Bloodmate until the end of time. Suri, Sorsha, and I were talking when Lee walked up to us with a glass of wine and a plate of food, " It's good to see you two are alright", as he smiled. Suri looked at him and frowned, " You're always stuffing your face! Where the hell did you get that food? They didn't even put the food out yet!", as she scolded him. He looked at Suri and chuckled, " Dont worry sis, that fairey Marcel gave me the plate, she said I looked hungry". All of us laughed, but Sorsha was the first to speak, " You are a little on the thin side, maybe you need more than that one plate". We all laughed and enjoyed each other's company for a short while. While we were talking, I looked at Dez a few times and he was standing next to King Titus, but he's staring in my direction. I don't know if it's the wine or something but Dez looks very hot tonight, I'm so glad he's mine. I took another sip of my wine and looked at him, if he can't come to me then I will go to him. He has to be on duty tonight out of all nights, it's ok because I will go and stand around him. I started to walk over to him, but mother came over with a lady that closely resembled Aubree. "Alora come here, I have to introduce you to Tatiyana", as she smiled. I looked at her and she was indeed beautiful, but she looked just like a paler version of Aubree. " Nice to meet you. Are you another sister or cousin of my mother?" She laughed and looked at my mother, "" She has your father's sense of humor Laynia, I'm quite amused". She then looked over to me with a welcoming smile, " Alora, I am your grandmother. It's very nice to meet you finally". I looked at her as if she was joking but I didn't see one ounce of her lying. I then gave my mother a puzzled look, " Well it's nice to meet you after all this time. Please excuse me, I was going over there with grandfather and father" and walked away. I'm really not in the mood to meet other family members I never knew until I'm almost mature. The only thing on my mind is Dez and I want to just be close to him.
