章 15: The Beast Within

Everything was quiet as Wade looks at his mother's corpse lying in a pool of her own blood, with her murder laughing at him. Wade stared at his mother in disbelief, as he was listening to the lion laugh like it was having the time of its life.

Max watched in horror and Dean could only sympathize with the loss of his mother. Max was feeling the same pain he felt when he lost his mother years ago, Alice was like a mother to Max, and to see her die he felt his chest tighten. Max almost fell, but Dean caught him and made sure he was, ok. He realized that they all were pretty close.

When Wade and his brother were taken away from her by their father, Max would visit sometimes which benefitted the both of them by giving them the feeling that one had their son back, and the other had their mother.

With Wade's motionless body a black and red aura started to emit from his body, Wade saw nothing but red, as the full moon feeding his anger, and now the death of his mother and the killer right in front of him.

That something inside him took that to its advantage as it finally emerged from his body. Wade deactivated his form but kept his red eyes that seemed to have gotten dimmer. Without anyone being able to see Wade move, he grabbed his mother's corpse and placed it near Dean, he didn't want to damage her body from what was about to occur.

When Wade appeared in front of Dean, Dean felt something that he has hardly ever felt in his life. Fear. Something about Wade's oddly calm demeanor frightened Dean to the point where he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding when Wade disappeared again from his sight.

Just then, Wade appeared a few feet away from the lion as it had a confused look on its face, as to what just happened. It was feeling wary at Wade's sudden change, but it did stop it from attacking Wade. Because that's why he was born, to kill Wade.

The lion tried to slash Wade's chest, but before the lion could even close, Wade grabs its forearm and grips it with tremendous force, and the sound of bones cracking could be heard throughout the museum.

The lion roar at Wade trying to scare Wade, but Wade responded with a more powerful and vicious roar, that scared the lion. Wade let go of the lion's forearm and looked to the barely standing Max and Dean who were watching the battle intently.

Wade moved his head to the right slightly signaling him to leave because what was about to occur was going to be messy and he didn't want to do that in front of his mom nor his best friend. As Dean was pushing Max out of the museum, Max looked back and could only mutter one word...

"Wade..." Max said as he had to shield his eyes from the bright lights in his face. When he removed his hands he could see it was a car and the person in it was his crush. Lydia Ace.

Lydia was busy trying to find where Wade was when she heard him roar again, but it didn't sound like him. Which greatly concerned her, because she didn't know what was the cause of this sudden change. When she finally arrived at the old crumbling museum, she saw two people walking out with one of them carrying a body that looked very familiar.

"What happened? And, where is Wa-" Lydia's words were caught in her throat as she realized who the corpse was. She looked to Max for an explanation, but she could see the lifeless look on his face with teary eyes.

She looked to Dean who was reluctant to telling her anything but told her because she obviously had a connection with Wade and his mom. Even though Lydia didn't know anything about her, she still kind of felt what Max and Wade were going through, but could never compare.

She was about to go in to help Wade, but Dean blocked her path and shook his head no because he knew she would only be a burden and might end up getting herself killed. The only thing she could do was wait and hoped that Wade walks through the dark entrance, ok.

Wade was now looking at the lion with pure rage in his eyes, not just because of the full moon because he killed his mother right in front of him then laugh in his face. Wade's nails grew longer and sharper, as his canines did. Wade knew that the lion was pretty durable to he had to cut it down like a tree, but Wade wasn't thinking clearly as he felt he needed to kill something and someone.

Wade moved beyond speeds the lion could see, as he felt a sharp pain on his pain, as he swung his hand behind him, hoping to hit something. But one thing he didn't have the luxury of was turning his back to his opponent.

Wade dug his nails into the lion forearms as deep as they could go, and in a fast motion moved his hand downward. The lion let out a pained roar as the floor and Wade's nails were not painted with his blood.

Wade left a nasty wound as could see the torn muscle and even the bone if you looked close enough. The lion's left arm was now completely useless, so Wade took it upon himself to remove it.

"It looks like your left arm is unuseable, let me get rid of that dead weight," Wade said as the lion's eyes went wide, as Wade again disappeared from its sight. Then appeared again a few inches away from his with three arms.

The lion looked to his left to see his left arm was gone and now in the hands of the 'person' in front of him. It was a stretch to call him human now. The lion let out another pained scream as four people jumped from hearing it.

The sound of blood dripping on the ground was getting annoying for Wade, so he appeared beside the lion with a fire atop of his hand. Before the lion could even react, Wade sent a stream of fire to the lion's open wound which quickly stopped the bleeding and most of all stopped the noise.

Wade was now looking at the lion who was holding where his arm used to be in pain, as it looked at Wade with anger and fear. Because he could do nothing against him, he was confused about where this change came from, and he certainly wasn't liking it.

Wade could see that this battle was one-sided, but he wanted to see this lion suffer, it needed to pay for what it did to his mother. She did nothing wrong and they kidnapped her to get to him, then killed her in front of him. He was sure going to make the lion and his former teacher suffer. He glared at where his former teacher was hiding and the smell of fear was intoxicating for Wade.

Wade appeared in front of the lion and kicked it in the face with immense force, but before it crashed into the wall, Wade sent a fire at its back then kicked where he burned the lion at.

It was torture for the lion, but Wade didn't care he knew that this wasn't enough. Wade grabs the ankle of the lion and picks it up then slams it into the ground repeatedly until the lion was barely conscious and bleeding profusely.

Wade scoffed at the lion for being weak when it showed so much confidence when it killed his mother. Wade knew that the lion didn't have much time, so Wade bit into the lion's skull then ate his brains like a mindless zombie. Surprisingly it didn't taste half bad, but he didn't get to eat any of his body parts because it disappeared.

As Wade finished with its brains, he looked over to his former teacher who witnessed the whole thing and was curing herself and the lion. She tried to make a run for it, but Wade grabs her by the neck and slams her into the ground. On impact, it created a small crater, then blood came out of her mouth as she tried to catch her breath.

"Why did you do it?" Wade asked his former teacher as he knelt to look her in the eye with nothing but disgust and hatred in his eyes looking at her.

"I wanted us to become great, I didn't want the lion to kill your mother, I swear," Witch said as she tried to touch Wade's cheek trying to sound like the victim.

"You killed my mother, and you will pay for that," Wade said as he grabs her hand and crushes it, making her scream out in pain.

'Nasir, make her see something that will break her,' Wade told Nasir. He wanted nothing more than to see her beg for him to kill her.

"Ok," Was the only thing Nasir said as Wade looked Witch in the eye and she saw her worst nightmares over and over again.

What seemed like an eternity for her as she was screaming and begging to be killed was nothing even 30 seconds in the real world. Whatever she saw must have been horrifying, but that did affect Wade the slightest he let it go on for 10 minutes before he got tired of her screams.

Wade got above her as he started slashing at her chest and neck, and with each cut, Wade's face was started to look more like a wolf as his skin darkened, his eyes got bigger, his sclera turned black. He was turning into something monstrous, and he didn't care. He was turning into a full wolf by taking a human life.

[Author- She was generations of witches and with more generations, the witch get weaker and is more of a human than a witch(I made that up of course for the plot)]

With his former teacher's body going limp and him feeling a tremendous amount of power enter his body, his features changed as he killed a human. Wade said he was never going to kill a human until this moment, she killed his mother so he took her life.

An eye for an eye, A tooth for a tooth.

As Wade reverted to his normal self he walked out of the museum with his hands stained with blood. Lydia went to hug him, but she stopped her and pointed to Max who was also devastated but was put at ease a little when Lydia hugged him.

Wade looked at Dean who could see what he had done and Wade didn't seem like he cared one bit about taking a life. He then walked over to his dead mother who was shockingly still warm for some reason. The look on his face caught the attention of Dean as he looked over to him as he put his ear over her chest to hear a very faint heartbeat. Wade smile and hugged his mom.

'Nasir, is there a way for me to save her? She doesn't have much time' Wade asked with tears in his eyes hoping he would say yes.

"Yeah, just give her one of your souls,"

'Souls?' Wade asked confused as the tears stopped because there was no reason to cry anymore.

"Didn't you ever question why the bodies of your victims disappeared? It because you took their souls and without there souls there's nothing to them,"

'How do I give her one?'

"Place her hand over her chest and say 'Soul Transfer"

Wade immediately did what Nasir said which got weird stares from the three of them, as a white light started to shine from Wade's hand. In a matter of seconds, Alice took a deep breath as she opened her eyes to see she was in the hands of her son.
