Zane was now encased in a cycle of confusion. Kronos, the previous king of the Apocrypha was standing before him. How was this possible? Didn't the Apocrypha abide by the same tradition as the Anunnaki? Once a new king or queen was to be selected, the previous ones would offer their brains to those next in line for the throne. So hadn't Zeus taken Kronos' brain?
"Ah, you're expression is just what I had expected, Zane!" Stated Kronos— his voice as deep as a gentle giant.
"I don't get it... How are you alive? Even now I'm going through the memories of all the Apocrypha's I have eaten, and all of their knowledge says that you had died..."
Kronos didn't give an immediate response to Zane's question. He was too busy enjoying Zane's reaction. But who could blame Zane for feeling that way? It was almost as if a ghost was standing before him.
The constant backstories are to bring about a bigger picture. If I were to detail the Apocrypha's past in one go, then it would most likely be rushed and become an info dump. So that's the reason I'm breaking it into sections so I'll be able to provide a backstory from the perspective of different Apocrypha until the bigger image is formed, leading to the truth of how everything began. Hope it does not deter my readers, but I am doing my best.
